This is truly amazing esp since the "victim" was a public figure. This would be no crime in america though democrats would like it to be.

 

What do you expect from a country that censor movies and installs camera to spy on its citizen?

 

He deserves all he gets. Like many others its all to easy to abuse somebody using social media outlets. These type of people havn,t got the bottle to do it face to face with somebody, but make snide and racial remarks about somebody, thinking they untouchable to prosocution. It would be nice if they put this man and Stan Collymore in a room together to see what he has to say face to face.

You guys in Europe can go ahead and keep restricting what people can and can't say. Who gets to decide what a person's allowed to say?

I like the idea in America that you can say almost anything you want. I don't care how racist, sexist, hateful, or rude the comment is. I support everyone's right, be they black, white, young, old, tall, short, fat, skinny etc. to say whatever they please (with a few minor exceptions).

I'm not encouraging people to be racist, sexist, hateful etc (as most of you will probably try and claim I am), I just don't think the government should be able to tell me what I'm allowed to say. Censorship is an extremely slippery slope that can slowly chip away at people's freedoms. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 or 20 years in Britain people could be charged for saying "mean" things to others. I know here in America many school administrators (who live in their own fantasy land) have been trying to do such things with so-called anti bullying campaigns.

 

As we see in America all the time, in an atmosphere where everyone is dripping urine and squeaking with terror for dread of everyone else. Yellow-backed racism leads to frequent murder, obviously. Only the rich and the racists, however, are allowed to say things so as to be heard. I think banning the cowboy madmen for insulting others is an obviously-sensible plan.

 

Have you ever been to America before? I just walked through a very popular city square in the U.S. on the way to lunch. I probably walked by 1,000 Americans. I didn't see anything like you described? Is that just coincidence?
