Look, stuff happens. Sometimes, when stuff happens the people involved are different races. Please stop plaguing the forums with threads using an incident involving people of different races attacking each other as evidence of the overt racism running rampant through society unless there is actually evidence that race was the primary motivator. And even then, race crap doesn't have anything to do with politics as far as I'm concerned. Do we really need 20 "blacks attack whites" or "whites attack blacks" or "hispanics attack purple boy" or whatever threads on the first page of current events every day? It's simply getting to be too much. There are other things going on you know. The Obamacare supreme court case is probably the biggest case of our lifetimes.
correction it is quite literally the biggest case in this nations history. As it will determine whether the federal government can compel a citizen to engage in commerce with another citizen.
See also nature vs. nurture. If doing wrong can be blamed on nature, then it gives us ground to feel superior. If we open ourselves to the possibility that it's more nurture, it's all about the cards you're dealt and how you react to them...meaning anyone could be a killer, thief and deceiver. People don't like that idea. We like to feel we are inherently more moral than another race, or our political opponents.
very convenient stance when those "racially motivated" stories aren't convenient for you to hear..... It's ok to say Zimmerman was racially motivated... but don't point out a whiteboy named Coon getting beat up by black students as they shouted "this is what you get whiteboy" or how his black teacher wouldn't allow him to answer a black history month question "how would you know, you aren't our race" And don't point out a hispanic boy getting beat up by 10 black kids cuz that may seem like retaliation for Trayvon
As someone who has started several Trayvon/Zimmerman threads I think the time may have come for a moratorium on new threads about that topic. Maybe a pause for say a month?

Some of us are not mindless trolls my friend. It gets a little old to log into a political forum and be greeted with 20 more crime threads each day engaging in wild speculation. I still believe what I believe and can discuss my beliefs in the dozens of threads that already exist on the topic. I am not a childish idiot that determines how correct I am by how many stupid troll threads I can start.
Everyone is free to have an opinion. I personally like it when people call for a bit of calm and perspective. It's good to take a little break from the mob mentality every once in awhile. Anyway I never said don't post about Zimmerman or Trayvon. I just said it would be nice to take a break from starting new threads.

It's not the the Martin Zimmerman posts or thread that the OP was referring, IMHO. It the ridiculous number black on white, white in black threads that so many keep posting to demonstrate that whites don't enough national attention. It's old and boring, again IMHO
What's sad is that you could probably post the above boilerplate response in any thread on the forum and feel like you've made a relevant contribution to the discussion.
