It is not false though. As I have stated the Taliban kept law and order in Afghanistan before the invasion and if you think otherwise then you are the one who knows very little about Afghanistan. That is the one thing that the people of Afghanistan liked about the Taliban and even today many of them prefer to go to the Taliban for justice as they do not trust the puppet corrupt regime of Karzai.

I have already commented on the solider in my first post in this thread. I will comment further. The whole article that you posted from the Daily Mail comes from the American military and I find it at least a little strange that so soon after an American solider murdered so many Afghan civilians including many children that this story has reared its head. I see no comment from any family members of the child,no name of the child. All I am seeing is some US officer says this and another US soldier says that and so on. From just a quick scan of the internet it looks like it is playing big in America but not mentioned anywhere else much. The whole report seems to come from the Rhode Island national guard. This is the original story I suppose.

If he did indeed save the girl then kudos to him, shame he had to die.

did not even think of it from that aspect, not only did he save a child, but our image to the world as well, sad that he had to give his life to save this child, but not a bad way to go either, his family should be proud of him, he did an honorable thing

The story has received little attention in the US especially if you compare it to the other incident. The lack of attention world-wide is no suprise due to opinion of the US. I do not think this is US propaganda if so they need to get rid of those in charge. It has not been very effective the US is usually better at that sort of thing. I just seek to give respect to an individual act not anything else.

They wouldn't be picking up shells. They would be getting raped by the Taliban soldiers.

This would have to be the saddest post I have seen. I was a sergeant in the Army and if one of my men used your formula I would have been very disappointed. A soldier saves lives, that is his primary role, to save lives, not to just kill.

Not sure what TV channel you've been watching but Rachel Maddow and Chris O'donnell have been haranguing the Federal government about the lack of a big NYC parade to honor the Iraq veterans.
