Biology professor Janet Salzwedel, an officer with the faculty association, said professors were upset with what she called Mr. Boone's "inflammatory kinds of rhetoric" against equity for all people. She said the faculty doesn't oppose his speaking on campus, but opposes his selection as commencement speaker.

"He is free to speak at other places," Ms. Salzwedel said, "but this is about the students and their day, and [Mr. Boone] is not what Adrian College represents."

On the "About" section of a Facebook page with the title "Keep Pat Boone off of Adrian College's Campus," it says Mr. Boone, "spends his time as a political pundit, promoting his views of racism, sexism, homophobia, and religious intolerance."
The central complaint by those opposed to his selection appears to be a 2008 article Mr. Boone wrote on WorldNetDaily, comparing the terrorist attacks in Mumbai to the campaign of opponents to California Proposition 8, which defined marriage in the state as between a man and a woman.

"What troubles me so deeply, and should trouble all thinking Americans," Mr. Boone wrote, "is that there is a real, unbroken line between the jihadist savagery in Mumbai and the hedonistic, irresponsible, blindly selfish goals and tactics of our homegrown sexual jihadists."


Mr. Boone also has claimed President Obama was born in Kenya and that his long-form birth certificate is fraudulent

So those are the two actual news articles- which politely point out that Boone- while perhaps a popular singer 50 years ago- has become rather a nutty far right extremist, and that the faculty didn't want their college to be associated with his views.

So I wonder....if a college faculty objected to Cat Stevens doing a commencement- because of his Muslim views- would any of our conservative friends here have a problem with it?

I am sorry but you are clearly flat wrong in your assessment. She was specifically referring to the birth certificate that she stated was half typed and half hand written. The State of Hawaii Dept of Health has been debunked by the Maricopa County Sheriffs Department. It is most likely they are taking part in covering for Obama. It is widely apparent from their past actions. It is most likely that the original records are based on false information given to the Dept of Health by either the mother or grandparents when they submitted baby Obama's birth registration. No matter the circumstances, the microfilm of his birth records, if any exist, need to be examined by forensic document experts. You claim the electronic file image wasn't examined by qualified experts in the field of computer graphic imaging. That is a lie. They were highly qualified or otherwise the investigators would not have used them. Now, do you understand all of that?

 

Not with the Maricopa County Sheriffs Department evidence verifying the documents are forgeries it hasn't. That new evidence has not been presented on the stand in a court of law. Fukino has not sworn under oath that the documents are authentic.

 

Flat out lie. The Cold Case Posse has not provided a single piece of evidence to back up their claims. They have stated opinions and nothing more.
