This is the kind of (*)(*)(*)(*) that goes on along the border because the federal government refuses to take any serious action to stop it. Meanwhile, citizens along the border are organizing to put a stop to it, and for their efforts they are called bigots and racists by the left.

What an unbelievable joke this country is becoming.

Yeah I saw this ... I was gonna post-it up but since it appears it was illegals killing illegals/drug-runners ... I didn't see the importance of this being another Arizona mass-murder worth mentioing ...

Well the pro-capitalists on this board ought to be able to understand that when a product can get a 400-500% markup you'll do what it takes to make it happen, no matter how sleazy.

This is why it can't be stopped. They're not even advertising on billboards like Revlon and they've got the most expensive and desired product on the planet. Legalize it and tax it. It's the only thing you can do to save money, slow crime, and create revenue. Then like alcohol and smoking put money into programs to slow or impede use.

The problem is that nether of our two entrenched political dynasties have any interest in dealing with this ever-growing problem. One side wants the cheap, exploitable labor while the other wants another victim class whom they can exploit for their own political aggrandizement. Ironically, there has been a hidden benefit to the recession which has proved a point that I've been making for at least the last decade: If you shut off the magnet, the illegals will deport themselves. All indications are showing them doing just that. We don't need a trillion-dollar fence along the border, we just need to go after the unscrupulous employers who draw these folks in with the promise of jobs. No jobs = no illegals. Of course, there is also that little issue of the 14th Amendment that needs fixing too -- end the anchor baby phenomena and end a lot of generational illegal immigration.

The problem is we just don't have the stomach to truly hold individuals accountable for their actions. Which is, while I agree with you in principle, I can tell you it will never happen.

This is drug cartel violence. How exactly do you propose to go after the unscrupulous employers? They're ghosts. They don't pay taxes. They have thousands of mules that will get into the US some way or how even if its by submarine. Half the DEA is probably in their pocket.

You'll get no argument from me. Can we also dump 70,000 pages of tax code while we are at it?
