Texas Gun Range to Host Birthday Parties for Children

EVERY person is or should be required by law to have gun safety education in order to handle firearms, child or adult.

But not EVERY child has access to a gun!

But EVERY child has access to sex organs, yet FEW parents teach them how to handle it safely (and "Don't touch that" doesn't count as "education", whether it be guns or sex organs).

And I wouldn't object to basic gun safety being taught to EVERY kid, given the idiocy EVERY kid sees on TV about guns.

 

Finally! I get to have my cake and shoot it too.

I'm 48 years old and I've been shooting and hunting all my life.

I started my daughter learning how to shoot from the early and impressionable age of 6 years old.

She is 17 and can safely and properly shoot all my rifles, all my shotguns and all my handguns.

She is a proficient markswoman and hunter.

Could you tell me when the law was passed that said only sick liberals could take advantage of impressionable youngsters? Or, are liberals outlawing birthday parties now?

Are you seriously suggesting that liberals would agree with the public schools going their children gun familiarity training the way they insist on imposing sex education?

I don't see anything wrong with kids learning about gun safety...

I, personally, wouldn't take part in it, but, that doesn't make it wrong...

I'd think ignorance about guns would be far more dangerous...

works for me, I was shooting a .22 and a BB gun at the age of six under parental supervision. Our gun club has youth events. Of course parental supervision and self defense and reliance are things that libs don't have no concept of

 

who cares, its a controlled atmosphere and its not like the kids are shooting wildly in an open field.its a safety class and they have a birthday party inside the facility.

 

You know, that is exactly how I feel about teachers who try to indoctrinate their pupils into thinking like a liberal. And about folks who want to hand out birth control or abortions to children without their parents knowing.

I think the OP is exaggerating a bit, but yeah, 8 is a little young to be using a gun.

I'd wait until 14 or 15.
