The article is misleading, as it bases its information on the Ryan plan, but Romney has his own plan which we have not fully seen yet. Its the Romney plan that matters. Its nothing but a hack piece.

Romney has stated his plan from the start: to repeal ObamaCare. No secret about that plan, is there? Ryan's plan is showing us what will happen after Romney goes through with his plan.

Ryan's plan is BRILLIANT,and EVERY SENIOR I KNOW OF, who has been TOLD THE TRUTH ABOUT IT...LOVES IT.

It would provide seniors with $8000 annually to spend on their health AS THEY SEE FIT (like an HSA), and whatever they do not spend, REMAINS IN THEIR ACCOUNT.

Any expenses OVER IT, and MEDICARE kicks in....what's not to like?

The Ryan Romney VOUCHER plan is not pegged to the rising cost of health care which increases much faster than inflation. . Instead it's pegged to the rate of inflation plus 1% or some such suicidal formula for the seniors.

Plus the CBO projects that the cost of health care per senior by the time Ryan's VOUCHER program kicks in (including out of pocket expenses) will be about 20,510 per year. The $8000 figure is a lie and amounts to nothing more that crap on a stick.

Medicare will simply collapse under this plan and private insurance is inefficient because it spends too much of its' healthcare dollars on sales reps and advertising.

Conservatives hate government programs. So why would they accept Ryans moronic health care scheme which is nothing more than another government program set fo fail.

The Republicans offer a plan that EMPOWERS the SENIORS, and not the government "Asset Allotment Panels"....

 

No money has been taken from Medicare right now. The 700 billion dollars will not come out of seniors pockets. It will be used to cut projected cost increases in Medicare expenses over a period of years. This includes cutting the Medicare advantage program making wealthier seniors pay more out of their own pockets for Cadillac health care plans. It also cuts projected increased payments to providers over a series of years. But the program allows for free procedures and medical tests for seniors. And the cuts are part of making providers more efficient as well as cutting back on some exorbitant fees charged by providers.
By the time the Ryan plan VOUCHERS kick in with their $8000 the cost of healthcare per senior per year will be twice the $8000 eventually forcing Medicare to collapse. The Ryan program is another government program but a dumb one with built in failure designed into it. It is absolutely not pegged to the rising cost of healthcare. It’s pegged to some conservative’s wet dream Health Care scheme. .

 

Bullcrap. It will come out of the funds available for their CARE, the extent of which will be determined by "Asset Allotment Panels".

Under the GOP plan, THEY get to decide what to spend their health money on....it's called "Freedom",and leftists always HATE IT....

I've given you a reasonable explanation as to the 700 billion dollar cuts in projected increased expenses in Medicare as well as a good explanation as to how your ryan plan Vouchers are just pie in the sky day dreaming and all you can say is BullCrap and some nonsense about how screwing over seniors in the future is Freedom.

Obama's top medical advisor, Ezekiel Emanual believes that doctors should do more than just treat illness...they have a duty to also work for the greater "good" of society.
