Just a reminder to atheists, we have things we should and should not ... they are called the ten commandments. One of them is Thous shalt not kill. (murder at least). Yet here we have atheists stupidly claiming that God commands us to very reverently go kill people? Idiots.

Of course, when you are at the nd of a series of battles and the end is near, when you pray to God as ask how to end the war with finality .... that really means, pretend the world is wide raging battlefield and kill everything?

And atheists consider themselves logical? Looks to me like they are ... showsmen.

God's commandments were only for the Israelites in the OT, were they not (the answer is yes)? Israelites were forbidden from killing other Israelites, but pagans and those that broke the rules of God were open game.

Really? There are morals in that story. Lessons on what will happen if you go against them. While a stretch, one could make the argument that, by listening to the stories and lessons in them, one could become infalliable.

And while not all stories like the one I posted are believable, there are other ones as well that are believable.

Well hello there GodForsakenPersonality ,,,, Uh.... Graspingforpeace. You did not seem to have a desire to answer my question, so I guess that acquiescence is the answer... which means that you are going to run with your previous statement to which I presented you with the inquiry. Now that you have acquiesced to running with that former statement of yours, then prove that there are no exceptions to your statement. In other words, prove that there is no-one that would disagree with you.

No, I have no desire to talk about semantics with you. I have a thread and a topic, if you don't want to discuss it, fine. But, I'm also not going to sit here and deal with your attempts at derailing a thread, which is what you do in most of your replies.

He is supposed to have created time, space, life and people, hell he's even attributed with creating the universe! - and the bible is supposed to be his words

But curiously there are things that seem to be out of his control - so he needs to update it every now and then?????
A little tweak, a little "hmm perhaps that won't work now - let's try this instead" :)

He seems very human, your god - perhaps a little too human :D
    That makes total sense alright.

He gave us free agency, and funny thing is, when asked to provide guidance ... he does - in a way that does not destroy agency, because its a choice to seek his guidance - and then to follow it, or not - as you have done.

But then, that is all atheists ever do it not? Never solve anything, never provide guidance or direction, leadership, friendship, counsel, compassion ... no, the entirety of atheism is driven in finding fault in everything.

Well fortunately, we have a God that disagrees with the atheist view on life. Amen to that.

I try to find fault with things because I want to make sure they are true. It's not meant to be mean and nasty. I don't just accept things because they make me feel good. And I'm not trying to ruin other people's feel good fantasies, that is just a natural consequence of seeking the truth amongst others who prefer their fantasies to whatever the truth might be IF those do not match.

Maytag, yes, you are. When you come onto a forum and begin by belittling people's faith, that little pot shot at Jedi would be a case in point - deliberately twisting a prayer and throwing it back him, dismissuing rebuttals about statistics, probability, simple logistics, and now, not being able to find something that is easy to find? You tell me that you want to test things out, but the mathematics presented were scoffed at ... Hawkins invited in with nary a second thought. Why?

Brother, as a former atheist, I can tell you that evidence alone does not lead to or from God. At some point, as an atheist, you have to look at what you are doing and whether it matches what you claim to be doing. You tell me that pot shot you took at Jedi last night was what you want to be. Whether you want to uphold that behavior by defending imaginary math and galgillions of imaginary universes ... for what?

It is not evidence that drives atheism.

Oh yes, I was very happy to mock jedi in return for mocking me. I believe in eternal punishment for sins and will attempt to deliver the maximum injury possible to anyone who crosses me without provocation.

I'm not a sissy liberal atheist like the ones you might be used to dealing with. Your appeals to my compassion are fruitless. I have none for anyone who sins against me for no reason. Those people cease to be human in my eyes.

Jedi did not mock you. You come up with excuses so easily.

Jedi lashed out - in anger. There is a difference, and one, as usual, atheists are too obtuse to try and figure out why someone would lash out at them in general? And he didn't sin against you did he? He lashed out at 'atheists' and now he is not even human? How dare he criticize YOU?

atheism. Do you see why people dismiss it as self worship?

Do you understand now why it is the bottom of the barrel in religion?

    http://atheism.about.com/od/atheistbigotryprejudice/a/AtheitsHated.htm

Well, just remember, as you totally lack compassion for the innocent, its clearly bigotry driving the revile of atheism out there ... made manifest in people like Jedi and Heretic, or anyone else you can mock and deride. Nice faith.

Thankfully, I found a faith that preaches the best about humanity. One where love and compassion are not a side show or an afterthought, one where service, compassion and actual standards are found, wisdom, enlightenment.

And just remember Maytag, people that actually care ... won't let you lie to them. Take a look at your 'supporters'.

"Guidance" pinpoint enough to have created warring factions of your religion for a thousand years - creating an uncountable amount of variants, sects , and subsects all claiming to have the proper guidance. If that isn't an obvious "fault" then I don't know what is.

Jews created the OT - then came the Christians - then the muslims - then the mormons, JW's. All based on the same book.

    Confusion at best.

The track record alone gives serious doubt on the supposed omnipresence.

Seriously? You do not understand how free agency works do you? If WE make decisions, who made what?

Its funnym we Christians, acknowledging free agency, readily accept responsibility for human error. Only atheists seem to blame God for everything. Funny how that works.

Oh wait, if God created that confusion, then he also created everything in your life that is good too ... assuming, of course, that there is something good in your life? Funny how that standard works in atheism?

I am questioning the GUIDANCE your god supposedly hands out so freely - it would appear as if he does so in a not-so-intelligible way, one woud've though that it would be in his own interest to give it in a clear way.

You tell me; why would he give such cloudy advice?

In fact it resembles astrology - with very very general advice, that can be translated to just about anything - in any way.

Yep, becaue you celarly don't get it. People who do get it, get it. You don't. Obviously, its everyone else who is the problem.

I wonder, why would God not be beating a path to YOUR door, but instead to people's doors who are humble, willing to actually listen, and having studied to now what to look and listen for? And an atheist cannot figure this out on his own? Never, in the history of his extensive research of religion, no doubt, has he ever encourntered an explanation for this ... until now?

Seriously, I suggest you take up with the atheists who 'educated' you about why they left you looking so foolish? I am beginning to think that atheism was made up by a couple of bored Catholic preists who get a few giggles by embarassing young mostly men when they are left exposed in ignorance.

BTW - he did make the way clear - its spelled out pretty clearly. Perhaps you should read something other than atheist web sites?

PS - its good to know that you have read more astrology than actual religion. Makes perfect sense.

Now we can get back to being ignorant about religion and just hoping we can get some more bigots on both sides of the Ocean.

Each person is responsible for his own vengence. That I take responsibility for mine shouldn't make me seem arrogant. It's only a coincidence that I worship myself and am highly arrogant. Those traits do not follow simply because I defend myself against attacks. Any idiot should do that, even people far below me.

You make that statement quite often.

On another thread you posted this:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/religion/265151-your-religious-freedoms-danger-5.html

This indicates that you were not an atheist. Why do you constantly say that you were?

Several posters pointed this out, but you didn't reply. Will you address this now?
