I have no intent to vote for ANY candidate for POTUS in November. Due to the absolute lack of ANY Conservative candidate on the ballot for that office, I will be writing my own name in on that line. Along with at least two others.

    What sorts of crime?

How about Wall Street criminals, that play fast and loose with the future of your country?

You'd want to get all of them, right, more of these Bernie Madeoff's?

How about those that have most intoxicated your youth, with porn, violence, and lies, in the media?

That is a psychological crime, for sure.

You would want to get them, yes?

I suggest starting at the top, and working your way down.

Which means that you must stand against your present Gov, as they are the worse mafia of all.

The problem is that with our current society the only thing we have to replace the currently corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, and leaders with is MORE corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, and leaders. What we really need is a complete and total change in the society as a whole. We need some type of societal revolution to press the "flush" handle on the entirety of 20th-21st Century American Society and start from scratch.

    I agree.

You system has now been so utterly contaminated, that you cannot make superficial change, and hope that it will make any significant difference.

You need to get rid of the LOT of them, all those crooks, shills, and hucksters, in your body politic, media, and so on.

You've all been too nice about it.

Take a leaf out the Spanish book.

    They know the score.

Have a look for my thread about Spain, on latest world news.

Agreed. We've had two wars over here about this sort of thing. The first one the People won. The second one the Government won. The third and deciding game is build as we speak. It's going to be intresting to see how it turns out.

    Indeed.

Which is why I would suggest you invest your energies on supporting the people, and not the corrupt state, no matter if the corrupt state tell you they are 'the authority'.

They are the cause of much of what you dislike.

Logically, you must then oppose them, and be a true citizen and patriot.

The problem is that the People are as much the problem as the Government in this country at this point in time. For a true Revolution to succeed and be meaningful in this country it would have to be like April of 1775 or April of 1861..... a Revolution of a MINORITY of the population, not the majority of the population.

Not at all. To be a True Citizen and Patriot, one must put Principles above everything else. One must love Law and Order more than what one wants or likes to do. To believe in Right and Wrong more than they love life itself.

    Uh huh.

And your shadow Gov, and the visible one, are the least principled of all.

And by extension, all of their tools.

You cannot oppose them alone, so my thoughts are you should oppose them with others who are also sick of them.

Sorry, one cannot remain clean by standing in one cesspool to decry the stench from another cesspool. I'm not alone in the way I see this nation needing to change. You can trust me on that.

    So.

What are you going to do?

You don't like the people, and you don't like the corrupt bastards in charge.

What's it going to come down to?

If it were an option, I would be leaving the country. Unfortunately that's nowhere near as simple as it should be. Either that or moving somewhere outside of society, which is again, an equally unrealistic option due to partiular conditions I have to deal with.

I've been looking at Pakistan. Unfortunately they're not really interested in emmigrants from America at the moment. Especially non-muslem ones.

I'm looking for a place with a very Traditional/Morality-based society and a lack of government interference in things like welfare, medical care, etc.... That means I'm pretty much looking in the Middle/Near East.

It's better than this place; though that's (*)(*)(*)(*)ing with faint praise.

No I have not. I'm not talking about the pleasantness of the country, just its laws and social customs. I am exceptionally Traditional and Olde School, and thusly this nation really no longer embraces or embodies my way of looking at the world.

I'd start with a break there, then, or your place of choosing.

Maybe get to know some people there, for the inside view, as well.

Well, I have to admit, he sounds sincere, yet confused.

He began by virtually supporting immoral practices, among cops.

And then went on to tell me that morals were of key importance to him.

He says he is 'authoritirian', yet, by definition of his own posts - he appears to be supporting an authority that contradict his base moral values.

Respect has to be earned, authority or otherwise, esp by authority, imo.

Authority must be accountable, answerable to the people, not the other way around.

I for one cannot support criminal or immoral behaviours from cops, any more than I can from politicians.
