It IS serious....how many outsourced people that Romney outsourced do you think sucked on a 9MM? Would it matter to a right winger? NO. They'll support Romney all the way regardless..

Your son can afford college on his own. Thanks partially to Obama's education bill which expands Pell grant payments. Also thanks to Obama's efforts to keep student loan interest low. My parents could not afford to send me to college either. It's okay. I was able to pay for it completely with low interest government loans. Your son needs a daddy a lot more than he needs money for college.

Could be. But I wouldn't risk that by telling someone in that position to swallow a bullet.

I am actually looking for a job. I don't know where people are getting this impression I'm not looking for a job.

But don't think a law degree is some sort of "magic ticket" that will get you some other kind of job. A law degree helps you get a lawyer job and not anything else. Most companies don't want to hire people with law degrees because they think they are "overqualifed" and will make bad employees.

I sincerely hope things turn around for you.

A few years ago, when my dept was downsized, and I lost my job, then went on unemployment....I was terrified I'd be homeless, and was actually 1 month away from that, or even worse...living with my brother or sister.

Then I found the job I have now, and I'll pray the same thing happens for you.

I wouldn't put too much stock in thinking Romney will be what turns your life around. I don't think either Obama or Romney have that kind of effect.

The economy is supposed to recover between 2013-2016, and it won't matter who is president.

Hang in there......something good will happen.

Make sure you apply for gigs outside of law anyway. The law job market is flooded with fresh grads. Perhaps aim for somewhere your experience would be an asset. Like a consulting firm.

I wonder what the suicide rate is now? We should jot it down and compare it to the number after Romney is installed. Want to make some money? It will GO UP....substantially. Maybe Vegas will take that bet.

If someone on an internet forum is so weak-willed that he would take the suggestion seriously....they have more problems than being unemployed.

Americans are accustomed or feel entitled to lifestyles of the past, and everything now is 'taking food out of my families mouth' ...

If Americans did not live above their means, in expensive big houses, or drive expensive cars they couldn't afford payments for, etc... they'd certainly have enough extra income for food in their budgets.

Professionals who can't find a job with their degrees shouldn't blame President Obama, their going to have to settle for two low wage jobs at walmart and macdonalds, 60-80 hours a week at minimum wage is enough for a cheap apartment in a lower class part of town.

Well, I'm not going to kill myself because of votesmart, but the thought of suicide has crossed my mind. Its natural to think about suicide when you can't support your family and you have a large life insurance policy that will pay off your family if you die.

What stops me is that I know it would wreck my family emotionally, especially my son. And I could not do that.

    Classic. Cons eating their own.

Poor guy loses his livelihood and savings, struggingly to make it, which makes him "lazy, ineffectual and ignorant" to our conservative friends.

The amazing thing is blackroot is still a proud conservative and voting for Romney.

    There's your friends, pal.

And what if that's the case? You want that blood on your hands? Or do you just not give a (*)(*)(*)(*)?

I'm beyond caring what people say about me. I know that none of it is true. I'm doing all I can do to get a job, and I don't feel guilty about taking unemployment because I paid into the system.

I have an idea for you. Look at all the possible revenue streams pertaining to your feild. Do you live in a big town? Put an ad in the paper to process evictions. Uncontested divorces. Serve court papers. That's VERY lucrative. I do that part time and netted over 60k last year doing it. Not bad for a part time gig.

Rush Limbaugh once said, "If you don't like the recession, don't participate."

My advice to you is, set your wife down and explain that you're in this together come hell or high water. If she takes a screw-you, "I'm outta here" attitude you are better off without her.

Your shoes may hurt now but some folks are without feet so find a way to count your blessings. Then get creative. Look at your new venture with excitement and enthusiasm. The Lord ain't gonna put on you, in one day, anything you can't handle. Then take it day to day doing your best. I'm sure you will come out on top a winner. A door never closes without a window opening. I have been where you are now. It's get better. MUCH better. One day you will be glad fate took you to your new direction. Trust me on that bro.

Now get out there and KICK SOME ASS! You da man!

Don't worry about me. I'm not going to kill myself.

But I do think that votesmart is going to hell. But that's just my opinion.

I'm glad man. It's just a bump. You'll get through it. But you've got to adapt. Clearly what you're doing isn't working.

I think you could use some counselling at about this time. Sitting at a computer isn't going to get you the help you surely will need. Ask your pastor to recommend a mental health provider. They will offer help on a sliding scale that you can afford, that is, if you live where these type of professionals exist, even.

I appreciate all the feedback, but I'm not really looking for advice, encouragement or sympathy.

All I want is for you to vote for Romney.

Romney has made its career to turn around failing corporations and he turned around the Olympics and made that profitable too.

Romney is exactly the man we need to turn the country around right now and Ryan is the best qualified man to help do this.

I don't think in modern history we have had a ticket with so much competence as we do with Romney/Ryan.

If Romney is elected, he will pull this economy out of this bad place and then I can do the rest on my own.

Don't believe a word of the OP. Blackroot had made up (*)(*)(*)(*) like this before. He just likes the attention. He's a troll and no one should ever take any of his posts serious.

Vote for Romney along with the rest of the folks who think you're a "lazy, ineffectual and ignorant" loser.
