Not a fan of either, and, this just goes to show you that people will listen to anything, in any genre, as long as the hype machine tells them that this is what is hot...

Also, notice that the majority of songs he has on his tally are guest spots...

    Not his own tracks...

The music industry is just terrible. Terrible. I know, I work in it.

Granted, if Elvis had a shot today instead of 50 years ago, he'd be just as successful as Lil Wayne, just because of how the music industry has evolved.

I'm not a rap fan, but lil wayne's stuff aint too bad.

Lil Wayne's music infuriates me, but, that's why we're all entitled to our own opinion, is it not?

That said, what sector of the industry do you work in?

The lowest common denominator has just become that much more common. This "culture" doesn't have far to fall before it reaches rock bottom.

    That's awesome!!!

I would have loved to have worked in the industry (I think...lol)

My experience with audio engineering stretches to home studio use of Adobe Audition, FL, and Pro Tools (Impressive, right? lol)...

And I've only worked in the hip-hop/R&B genres...

Working in music is so much fun, though...

It's a dying industry, really. Live music is the new thing these days, but people don't get paid very well to perform live. Better than putting your music online, though.....

I'd have thought it was backwards from that...

It always seemed to that the artists I knew/had met made better money from live shows than from physical media...

Rap is not music. I think this may be a sign of the apocalypse.

Rap music dies with tupac and biggy, the last 2 rappers whos music told stories and their wodds meant something.

Today's rap is a joke, nothing but talking about stupid (*)(*)(*)(*) like (*)(*)(*)(*)ing ho's and all they cars they don't really have.

To me Tech N1ne is the best out there atm, but then again I like hardcore and not this stupid repetitive bull(*)(*)(*)(*) tht is mainstream.

Lil Wayne still (*)(*)(*)(*)ing disgusting looking and sounds like someone has his balls in a vice. Only the truly worthless listen to his garbage.

    Not likely...

Just one overrated artist surpassing another...

    And rap is certainly music...

Rap didn't die with Pac & Biggie...

There have been several great artists since them, and also, many that were around before them that are still here...

Phonte, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Skyzoo, many many more...

Lil Weasel is the bull(*)(*)(*)(*) that gives rap a bad name...

It's nice that blacks have such great role models out there.

F**k tupac, biggy and the rest of that sh*t sk*n trash. Better off for all of us where they are. The negroe has never offered anything of value to society. Most people know it to be true but don't want to be the ones to say it. Who want's to live next door to them. Right , no one but their own kind. They don't even want to live with them. They commit most of the crime and have no redeeming value. Be honest next time you stick up for them and ask yourself, would I want them in my house?
