The late Warren Zevon wrote the song “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead” in 1991. After Wednesday’s presidential debate, it could be the new theme for the Obama campaign and even the liberals of MSNBC seemed to know it. Though some major media outlets attempted to limit the collateral damage.

When the Rocky Mountain debate came to an end, a black cloud descended on the liberal off-shoot of NBC. “A CNN/ORC poll of registered voters who watched the debate in Denver showed 67 percent believe Romney won the debate, while just 25 percent said Obama won,” the Hill reported.

For MSNBCers, it was a sign of The End Times. Perennial Obama Fan Club President Chris Matthews lamented the whole ordeal, whining this “wasn’t an MSNBC debate, was it? It just wasn’t.”

Matthews erupted into a vein-throbbing rant about how Obama should be watching MSNBC to learn his debate talking points. “Where was Obama tonight?! He should watch, well not just 'Hardball,' Rachel [Maddow], he should watch you, he should watch the Reverend Al [Sharpton], he should watch Lawrence [O'Donnell]. He would learn something about this debate,” he vented. Perhaps the new soundtrack for “Hardball,” will be “After The Thrill Is Gone.”

Fellow MSNBC host Ed Schultz echoed the panic and added Obama “created a problem for himself on Social Security tonight. He agrees with Mitt Romney.” “I was absolutely stunned tonight,” Schultz concluded. In fact, MSNBC’s focus group of “undecideds,” all thought Romney did well.

The lefts problem is pretty simple and is only a few points deep. First they believe their own propaganda, the idea that Obama is a great orator and intellectual....after all, he is their guy. And second, they believe it is their duty to protect the fellow so when he has to face the world without his media cover, he crashes and burns. They set Obama up to fail with their coddling and water carrying. The problem is, their protection has a down side, a candidate unprepared for the real world when he encounters real questions or actual research and vetting by folk they do not control.

It is usually easy enough to find a partisan, from either party, who can spin just about anything, as desired. But no need for spin, as regarding last night's presidential debate.

From the mouth of MSNBC's Chris Matthews--who was a speechwrtier for then-President Jimmy Carter, and who has never abandoned his progressive ideology--came the following:

Ah, the voice of utter frustration, from a Democrat who knows exactly who won (and who lost) last night's big debate...

Well Chris Matfhews kind of went ballistic over the debate. Wonder if that tingle he felt in his leg turned into a tinkle down his leg. I laughed so hard at this, I am glad I had pi** call prior to watching it.

Look the memorable part of the DNC was Former President Bill Clinton's speech. Joe Biden, as is his custom, told the same speech in a similar tone. Obama got off message and some speculated it was due to the jobs report due the next day. But his Convention speech was weak and the media protected him. The night the President of the U.S. Accepted his Nomination for Reelection, discussion continued to revolve around Clinton.

The media couldn't protect Obama. He was out there with a Policy Shark who knows the financial aspects better than the President. Obama should have showed more spine, grabbed the opportunity to speak. Instead he sat there almost as useless at Lehrner. It was a completely abysmal showing, but why should we be surprised?

He was the Golden Boy, chosen by the Media and he won election with the Following Statement, "Bush 8 years, I did not support the Iraq War, & Hope + Change." Three months following the collapse, McCain stood no chance. But Obama was never qualified for the job. He doesn't have a signature piece of legislation to his name and he's a left leaning ideologue masquerading as Post-Partisan.

Kudos to willard's style, it's the substance i wonder about. is he ever going to give voters specific details on what deductions he intends to slash or do way with, or does every property owner (and tenant since the cost will be passed on to renters) just have to trust him?
