I disagree. Some people are by nature disorganized. Others are by nature very organized. While part of it may be education or enculturation or whatever, I bet most of it is genetic.

I have 5 siblings, all of them are adhd in the same way except one of my half sisters. It's observable and the difference is night and day. My 3 brothers and my one half sister are very creative, energetic, and very disorganized. We all had the same trouble in school too. We'd ace all the tests and do great on standardized tests but we'd never remember to do homework and we'd be terrible at organizing our time outside of school. Of the 4 boys all of us were fantastic at math/science and went into some form of engineering or finance. My one half sister is the same way, she's lazy but gifted. My other half sister is different, she simply doesn't have that issue. Her sister may be a tad smarter, but she will end up being validictorian of her school. She studies and get's homework done early. She is very neat and clean. The difference between her and the rest of us has to be genetic.

I'd wager are differences our more genetic than we'd like to believe. I think we all have potential or at least the vast majority do, but I think there are genetic differences between individuals and the genders that make us more suited for different tasks.

It just seems to be very un-pc to suggest that man is anything other than a tabula rasa shaped by the environment, even if that is a terribly unscientific bordering on religious view of man.

    Yes, I agree.

I say this from experience of my life.
    You're right.

I just have to say, that nature has a very strong influence.

How has that worked for you in reality so far?

I have been married for over 20 years. My wife and I divide the work based upon what works best for our partnership. She does laundry because she is obsessive about it- she doesn't like it but she hates it if someone else does it. I cook- because I like it more than she does. When one of us is employed outside the house, the other one steps up and does more of the household chores. Based upon the reality of our partnership-that has worked for us.

So tell us how this theory of yours has worked in your relationships with women.

That's the whole point  - take a married couple with kids - neither one can find a good job in this economy, so the hubbie works full time at the grocery store, and the wifey has to work part time just to help with the bills. And on top of that, she gets relegated to doing all the cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, etc - when the hubbie's not at home.

So the hubbie comes home and always wonders why his wife is looking run down, grumpy, and never in the mood for sex. Well, who would be? That's why so many guys cheat, or at least feel tempted to cheat.

So the guy should help out with the chores more, make his own sandwiches, and take a load off his wife's back. Might be a little extra work, but hey your wife might actually start looking pretty, and being in the mood for romance now, meaning sex.

Well I've never once had a woman complain if I decided to cook dinner rather than just expect her to have food in front of me when I got home from work.

And the worst and most btchy exes i had were the ones who were most overworked.

I mean, if a woman really wants to do the laundry - then more power to her - but most people (women or men0 don't think of taking out the trash, doing the laundry, washing dishes, etc as "dream jobs", just sayin'

While I'm on it, the most irritable and grumpy people I've met are usually women who are overworked, they might have kids and maybe work part time to help support them, or not have the father in their life anymore and be working, taking care of the kids, and doing all the chores on their own. I've known guys who work long and hard - like some guys I've met who work in the oil fields, and might do 16 hour shifts and work 70-80 hours a week, but it didn't seem to get them down like being confined to hours of menial labor does to women. Women's personalities, as a rule, just aren't designed for that kind of monotony like men's are.

    I agree with you partially.
There are many types of people, not all women are good with children and cooking, and not all women can do the work of men.
Of course, the majority goes like you said, and this part I agree with you. But, I'm still looking attention to small details. I hope I explained my point.

Women can do whatever men do, and men can do whatever women can do.

I think that women are definitely better with kids, and doing things that directly relate to kids.

But I don't think that most women's personalities are particularly designed for loads of routine, menial labor.

Way back in the day for example, it was also believed that professions like artistry and fiction writing were "men's roles", but it's been shown that women's brains as a whole are way more apt for those than men's are.

    I agree.
But do not disqualify the fact that women / men can be good both.

Plus if you hate your wife's cooking, but don't know how to do it yourself - then you're basically stuck with whatever she gives you.

I wonder if housewives ever spit in their hubbie's food to get back at him for complaining about her cooking, like fast food workers do if a customer pisses her off - interesting thought. I never considered that one before.

My wife has a black belt in cooking
    One chop and your dead!

"My wife is such a lousey cook that if I leave dental floss in the
    kitchen, the roaches hang themselves"

My partner's cooking is so bad that we pray AFTER we eat.

Wife: "The two things I cook best are meatloaf and apple pie."
    Husband: "Which is this?"

    Being retired, I have more time to help out my wife in the kitchen;
like putting all the fires out for one thing.

Around my house no one ever sez, "Guess who's coming to dinner"
because nine times out of ten, it's the paramedics.
