When did the higher rates you desire result in the rich paying more in actual income tax revenues and a higher share of the income tax burden?

"It is often referred to as the Glass–Steagall Act, after its Congressional sponsors, Senator Carter Glass (D) of Virginia, and Representative Henry B. Steagall (D) of Alabama." Clinton signed it.

How did that cause a recession and prevent a recovery?

How did that cause a recession and prevent a recovery?

Which increased tax revenues producing record revenues to the treasury. How did that cause a recession and prevent a recovery?
HOw did that cause a recession and prevent a recovery?

And with everything you name the Republicans still had the deficits falling in 2005, 2006 and 2007 down to a measly $161 billion. Did any of that which you mentioned happened after the Democrats took over the budget and the deficits ballooned almost TEN FOLD?

Yep....people playing partisan politics with our current economic mess should be reminded of this daily. It is both parties not just one or the other. Too bad we only have a choice between big govt candidate A or big govt candidate B. Oh wait....

Give me an example of GOVERNMENT policies redistributing the money of the poor to the rich which is the issue. If you want to discuss the details of what happened at a company you worked for then start a thread and name the company and when it occurred.

Like what? Your failure to provide concrete reasons backed up by valid proof that these reasons are in fact real, and a thread to this country render this thread a pointless waste of time.

Interesting post. Tell you what when Mitt Romney puts America into another war in the Middle East, I want to see all you patriotic cowards that voted for him running to the recruiting offices to join up. Don't sit at home and watch on tv as the men and women in our armed forces die in an irrelevant war.

Now back to the old lets pretend there has been no inflation or economic growth ploy.

Anyone with a modicum of knowledge in economics or finance knows you cannot compare numbers over time without adjusting them for inflation or comparing them to a benchmark, like GDP.

But Bluesguy might sound persuasive to folks without a modicum of knowledge in economics or finance, I don't know.

When Clinton passed his tax increase, after which the Treasury was flooded with extra revenues which blew away Reagan and Bush's record and gave us the golden opportunity of a surplus (quickly squandered by Bush and the Republicans), even when adjusted for the superior economy under Clinton (about which Republicans wrongly predicted the tax increase would destroy jobs and wreck the economy).

He doesn't pay anywhere near 50% of his income in taxes.

Like we've seen other here who have said the same thing, this is just another example of reguguritation of propaganda spewed by Sean or Rush they just repeat here.

We've seen this phenonemon repeated a zillion times.

    Propaganda works.

See, that's why we keep going in the wrong direction. Because you and many other people think it's all because of a bad president. That's how liberals think, and that's what they thought in 2008. They were so obsessed and desperate to get rid of Bush and subsequently McCain, that they voted for one of the worst extremists in politics. They didn't know that this country needed a president, not a political savior. They idolized Obama like the masses in ancient times used to idolize the Caesars, the emperors regarded as gods.

Your comment that you would take any of the two Clintons over Obama, also shows how naive you are, sorry for saying this. The Clintons are just as evil and corrupt as Obama, but ot seems they are not as stupid. Hillary would have done the same things, but at a slower pace. The socialist healthcare legislation was Clinton's idea, if you recall. They tried to pass it in 1994, but the Republican majority in Congress blocked it. It came back again in an even more radical version, with the Obama administration. So don't say that other liberal Democrats would be better, because they won't.

And even if Romney wins the elections, there are things that the left wingers established and they will still continue, unless the Republicans repeal them and take us back to a constitutional basis, not political correctness and popular opinion.

That's what you have to understand.

Looking at what all the election experts have to say right now, it looks like Obama currently has somewhere around a 70% chance of winning the election. That would suggest that a whole lot of Americans disagree with the OP.

LMAO @ Romney seeming more honest!! When did he seem honest to you? Now? Last month? The previous year and a half? His views were different in each of these time periods.

Wow, a single tear rolls down my cheek. Whether it is Pres Obama or former Pres Clinton, we keep hearing/reading the same old redundant message, yet nothing of RW fears has ever taken place.

So I retort, for the sake of our country, let that bitterness go, and stop attacking everyone and anyone that doesn't toe the line with your politics.

The real reason the author of the OP doesn't want you to vote for Obama:

I'm guessing he's not the only one with that motivation.
