I have problems with fly-by-night operations all of a sudden deciding that a person who had passed all of his drugs tests somehow cheated with drugs. You don't know me. Shut your pie hole and be glad we're here to protect you.

Your country is incapable of protecting anyone. Those who see you coming are more intimidated by you than they are by their enemies.

You are all wind and (*)(*)(*)(*), as demonstrated in Vietnam, Cuba, Iraq and Afghanistan. All losses disguised as wins by US propaganda and Americans who believe it are the patsies.

The US cannot even run a whelk stall.

ok, for a man that had cancer and chemo, the steroids did him very well it seems if true, why don't we prescribe these to people recovering from cancer?

Interesting point. Maybe something in Armstrong's program points the way to full recovery from cancer and chemo.

Translation: I, Beevee, am still pissed because Americans took over major league hockey, which was once a Canadian pastime. So I am taking out all of my hockey envy, anger, and angst on a bicyclist that I never really followed (because who actually watches that gay Tour de France (*)(*)(*)(*) anyway) simply because he's an American. Oh yeah, and that *****er Tiger Woods is next on my list! :frustrated:

There are two issues with Armstrong:

    1. The act of cheating.
    2. The act of forcing others to cheat (taking serious drugs) under threat of being fired from his team, forcing two other Tour riders on other teams from the Tour.

The first is bad enough, but ini fairness most other GC riders were also doping.

The second is shameful, an absolute disgrace. It is a little known fact that in the year that pantani died, 10-20 young (17/18) semi-pros died from performance enhancing drugs. Armstrong should hang his head in shame over this.

Saying that, I wanted Amrstrong to prove his inoccence, I wanted to believe in his ability, I wanted to believe that the year when he gave Ulricht "the look" at the bottom of Duez, then climbed that mountain like a man possessed that it was real.

Translation: Becuase it's not American, I'll hate it anyways. Seriously dude, we are talking about one of the worlds greatest athletic displays, these guys are as hard as nails. But I wouldn't expect you of all people to understand something so subtle as Tour racing; it's far too complex for your brain to comprehend.

I never said it was boring. I was simply quoting Beevee's projected anger toward American athletes. Do you honestly believe that Beevee has ever followed Lance Armstrong at all? Beevee obviously has a hatred for all American athletes. Why else would he bring up Tiger Woods, who has never cheated on the golf course? Off the golf course is a different story, but what did Tiger ever do to warrant Beevee bringing him up in this argument? What is Tiger Woods' connection with Lance Armstrong?

"Cheats seldom prosper", is the old saying, yet Armstrong has prospered to the tune of tens of millions of dollars. Yes, his foundation has helped many people, but I feel the stripping of his titles which he won through unfair means, is justified. His major sponsor, Nike, is continuing to support him. How can this be right?

No, nobody's kidding you. He is a cheat. I didn't realise there was a statute of limitation on cheating.

Who cares. The fact remains that he cheated, and thus any titles he may have are quite rightly rendered null and void by anyone who believes in fairness in sport.

You haven't seen the evidence? In how many trials or tribunals have you been privileged to see the evidence that has been presented? The people who matter have seen the evidence, and I suggest they are far better qualified than you to decide how to deal with cheats.
Furthermore the man is a multi-millionaire, and if he truly believed he could prove his innocence, then he could afford the best lawyers in America. Instead he chose to 'give up'. Now, anyone with a vestige of self-respect and moral principles wouldn't just give up; they would fight to clear their name.

No, actually...he couldn't. He would simply be hit with more and more charges (bogus or not, it doesn't matter) until he couldn't afford to keep fighting anymore.

    It's a witch-hunt, plain and simple.

    ^^agreed.

    *pondering navel*

If six guys are racing and only one has doped, he cheated.
If all six guys are doped, why is the winner a cheat?
