Egypt on the brink of financial collapse

I once attended a meeting... the host wanting to smooth things before his speech started this way.
All those pro life raise their hands [a lot in the hall raised their hands], then he asked : All those pro choice raise their hands [more raised their hands]... then he noticed the first three front rows of people cross armed and waiting... the host turned to them and ask them you are not pro life and you are not pro choice... what is it? What are you??? They all raised their voice... WE ARE PROPHYLACTICS Sir...

Seventy years ago during the Second World War... Egypt had a population of 22 Millions, seventy years later they are 90 Million, someone has to close the spigot... They are multiplying like ants and cannot feed themselves... How about a few tons of Prophylactics? hmmmmmmmmmmmm

 

There was some language about population control in the 1971 Constution, if I remember correctly.. Poverty always seems to generate bif families..

 

I would say those comments are probably pretty accurate--- although I know many many Muslims who are very uneasy with Morsi.

 

Some Egyptians here in the US say there's a secret deal between Morsi, Bibi and Obama to expell all the Palestinians to Sinai. Jeez Louise.

 

Today is December 7. 71 years ago a foreign power blew our naval fleet to smithereens. Our POTUS, at the time, was of course FDR who was very aware of the threats from both Germany and Japan. However, FDR was dealing with the Great Depression among other things and was exacerbating an isolation policy. Several of his advisers felt that FDR waited too long to enter the war but they also knew FDR was a populist and after WWI the general population was against getting into another war. There are those who feel that FDR somehow forced Japan to bomb Pearl Harbor so that entering the war would be a moot point. Others just think he waited too long.

NOW....Look what we have in the White House today. Another populist POTUS seemingly watching as countries "over there" are in chaotic turmoil but refusing to take any kind of a leadership role. One would have thought we'd learned our lesson.

 

What's your point ? and how does this topic have anything to do with Obama...

 

Sharia is a reference point for a Muslim’s personal conduct, not a corpus to be imposed on the life of a pluralistic society.

Leadership role... like installing new dictators and training up the SAVAK...

Its fantasy to think that the US had any control before the Arab Spring or since.
