Yeah right. What's so good about it any way. It is cold here like 3 below. Well maybe this will cheer things up a little cause yesterday I fall down and go boom. And this morning I hurt.

 

can under cooked bacon make you sick? bacon tastes better when its cooked soft and just a little under cooked, but I hear there are parasites in them that could travel and lodge in your brain if their not cooked all the way.

that is why macdonalds always serves fully cooked crisp bacon on their bacon egg cheese biscuits for breakfast.

I suspect you already know, it's always a good idea to properly cook pork (for the reason you described) and poultry.

To me, even more so now than in times past, considering that U.S. growers/producers and government are more interested in export of domestically grown meat/products, than growing for domestic consumption.

Consider that much of the pork consumed by Americans is now imported from Latin American countries, Brazil being perhaps the largest exporter to the U.S..

Is U.S. grown/produced meats more safe or of higher quality than imported products? I don't honestly know, but I feel more secure digesting it, when not thinking of some third world (exaggerated) (*)(*)(*)(*) hole.

About the bacon thing... bacon is 'cured' which means it doesn't need to be cooked as long as say, a pork chop. It's OK to eat it cooked soft or crisp.

yes agreed after doing some research they say the government mandated that the hogs not fed certain things that make them likely to harbor parasites but it is still possible.

but now that we import our food, maybe its not a good idea to eat rear meats anymore I'm probably going to start ordering medium instead of medium rare from now on.

Aint much of a winter down here, low 80s everyday (sory lol), but I'll be breakin out the snow shovel next winter up in Canada..ugh I cant wait
