I just watched Anderson Cooper Air, that apparently the cop that is shooting cops, basically reported that his fellow officer, had abused a suspect.

He was actually doing the right thing and they fired him.

    I watched the whole report.

I could not believe they aired that, as it could make him a hero and copy cats could emerge.

    Scary

Fox reported that he made a false allegation that a fellow cop abused a suspect and was fired for making a false allegation. Your CNN left that little tidbit out I guess.

He was fired for making a false accusation that his partner had allegedly abused a suspect. It's a matter of whether there is truth to that accusation or not. I would think that some of the support is based more on exposing corruptness/coverups in the LAPD and many other police departments in N. America for that matter, but not necessarily for Dorners actions on killing fellow police or their family members.

In the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that it's been reported that Donner made his accusation about his fellow officer abusing a perp after realizing he was going to receive a sub-standard fitness report from that officer.

Whether he really was going to get a bad report...
Whether he really deserved that bad report...
Whether the fellow officer really abused the perp...
Whether Donner made up a false accusation to cast doubts about the accuracy of the fitness report...

These are things we don't yet know.

Anyone who makes a judgement on Donner based on these, as of yet, unverified allegations is jumping the gun (pun intended).

And though he might have been innocent of those allegations he crossed the line as soon as he committed murder.

Rambo Cop's future does not look bright.

Is he much different from V or some other such violent protagonist in some story? If he's fighting against corruption, he could indeed be seen as a good guy, just like the people who went to bloody war to free the colonies from British rule ended up heroes and good guys.

    - - - Updated - - -

Rambo immediately came to mind when I first started reading about this story. If you've read the First Blood novel, the similarities become even more stark. The end of that novel may also prove pretty accurate for this guy..

That is one version of events. The alternative view is that of the fired cop turned angry murderer. He destroyed his credibility with his most recent known actions, obviously, but he may well have encountered institutional corruption that got him fired. That possibility remains.

That's what gets me, he didnt blow a fuse upon firing. He waited to try it the right way. he tried the appeal process

If they arrested that kid, he will have a police picture. If that kid has damage to his face, that fits, then apparently his claim is closer to correct than not.

No one is allowed or ok to shoot innocents. So i do not condone what has occurred so far.

If the picture, does show the facial damage, shoot the bad cop too!!!!!

This is another nut case but this time like another not too long ago was a LEFT WING gun nut. If he had been a tea party member a right wing type the media would pounce on it playing up the gun + + right wing rednecks always add up to violence by gun. What terminal stupidity that is. The (MSNMC types you know those goofy dirty laundry is the head dead yet? airing low ratings generating talking heads kind of media is silent on his left wing orientation.

He was actually doing the right thing and they fired him.

I hope that ridiculous remark was sarcasm. I am no fan of police and never have been. Murder is not the right thing - ever. Self defense which is not murder, but killing is sometimes the only option one has. Lethal force is even then rarely the ’right thing’. This depraved disturbed narcissistic individual has told the world that he will attempt to kill the cops families. I suppose you think that is wonderful as well eh? Lol…

I watched the whole report. I could not believe they aired that, as it could make him a hero and copy cats could emerge. Scary[/QUOTE]

Oh so you are being sarcastic! Ha ~ ha…ah‘ ~ ha? Seriously, the media really does hurt everyone when they make a madman or disturbed individual famous for obvious reasons. That goes triple for Terrorists.

Dorner could become a Hero if this is not handled correctly.

    not funny

If the child harmed has a booking photo showing the kick, the 'bad cop' must be charged.

I bet Obama's fingers are itching to dial Drone Control and get a few drones up there for one of his surgical strikes with minimal collateral damage on this Terrorist soldier cop on the loose :unclesam:

Obama will probably say "If I had a brother, he would look just like Dorner."

Nah. If he's taken alive, that's what his defense attorney will say. He might even add that Dorner ate a few too many Twinkees or had coffee spilled on his lap.

Dorner crossed the line when he started murdering. There are other avenues he could have taken in exposing being wrongfully dismissed, if his allegation were true. This is no different than some of the nutbars you hear about going to work and shooting up office staff, or the nutbars that go to school and shoot up fellow students or kids for being wrongfully treated.
Even if his allegation were true and exposed, would he come out of hiding and be deemed a hero? Should he?

How many people get kicked out of their jobs and don't go postal? Most. How anyone can even begin to think Dorner is a hero (allowing for the fact that nothing is proven yet) is beyond me.

True, his chances of being taken alive don't seem great, at least as long as he refuses to turn himself in peacefully.

I don't know if his allegations ever could have gone anywhere, but obviously his actions have been plain wrong. The guy killed the daughter of one former LAPD officer, along with her fiance. What did either of them have to do with Dorner's grievances? Nothing! He killed two innocent people, plus a third in uniform who likewise had nothing personally to do with what happened, for the sake of his personal vendetta. Nothing justifies that.

I'm sad that people out there are willing to overlook his murders and support him in his cause. He should never be free again, as far as I'm concerned, because he has displayed powerful disregard for innocent lives. His recent crimes cannot be justified by what happened to him earlier, whatever that may have actually been.

If he gets shot by white cops then I wonder if they'll try to make this into another Trevyon Martin story - the headlines will read something like "Cops shoot to death mentally ill black man".
