Because it is a scary name like sounds like a terrorist.

There are lots of things to pick on Obama about, choosing his name as one of the talking points is simply asinine.

Something else bothers me about tecoyah's response. If he has a "very good memory", implying that he did indeed remember accurately (what I pointed out), then does that not mean that he made his original statement to deceive? I don't see any other explanation, but I'm open to hear any other possibilities.

You flat out lost that comparison. Did you not see the results he posted? You haven't even acknowledged them and yet you're doing a victory dance?

What comparison? I wasn't defending any side, only pointing out that what he said was not true. Try reading what I say instead of reading assumptions into what I say.

It worked out exactly the way he said it did.

He was saying that while he did see people being rude during the Bush years, the level of rudeness now is even worse. You posted search results for Bush. He posted them for Obama.The search results backed up what he said completely.

So, only 359 search results after an 8 year presidency is not what you would consider "rare" even though there are over a million hits for Obama who's only been in office for 5?

There you go making comparisons that I wasn't talking about. He said, "I cannot remember a single instance". I replied with over 14,000 to choose from. I think at least one could be found.

Then let's deal with that. Get it off of your chest. What's your problem with it? Why are you insulted by a simple explanation? Perhaps you are insulted that I have compassion for liberals. You would rather see me as some fire-breathing monster. Tell me, what is your problem? Why are you such an angry person?

 

He was speaking about his experience on whatever forums he was a mod on. Your google search results don't have anything to do with what he may or may not have seen. The larger point he was making was that the vitriol against the current president is at previously unseen levels. The google search results back up that claim and it was you who initiated that comparison.

It was smugness that, on it's own, would have never received a reply from me, but then a few posts down I saw you pretending you had won a debate when all you did was ignore the other person's post and pretend it wasn't what you were talking about. If you're going to be smug about how you're better than others(which is exactly what your liberal post was), you might want to dot the I's and cross the T's.

Yes...My comment was about MY personal experience over the years, and the comparison to MY personal experience today. Mt secondary rebuttal was due to the attempt at disproving MY comment based on MY personal experience. This was not met with anything approaching useful debate and thus the member became irrelevant to me.

Basically, I rebutted the comment with Data that defeated the opponents intent...and felt the debate had ended when said member removed any incentive to continue.

I placed you on ignore for a reason, and your request does not revise it. No Mod would promote another forum, even inadvertently, and I have no reason to bother with you further. Lets just say that whatever you are saying is true, and leave it at that.
