The reality of the matter is that it may not be possible to stop the Iranians from developing a nuclear weapons capability. The notion that the Iranian nuclear program could be dispatched with a limited number of pin prick airstrikes is totally unrealistic. The Iranians should not be underestimated. They have dispersed their nuclear infrastructure and technologies at scores of hardened sites. A military operation designed to effectively disrupt and degrade the persians nuclear capabilities would require a sizable contigent of aerial and naval assets. Thousands and thousands of sorties would be required to neutralize and degrade the Iranians air defense, command and control, naval and nuclear infrastructure in conjunction with a simultaneous naval campaign to protect civilian maritime activities and secure the straights of Hormuz. Its doubtful that the Israelis possess the offensive capability to project and sustain an effective interdiction campaign against the persian nuclear industry in such a high threat environt. An Isreali or American led attack would almost certainly percipitate a regional conflict. Whats more, its unlikely that any attack against Iran would succeed in totally eliminating the Iranian nuclear program. Instead any attack would probably only delay Iranian progress towards completing a functional weapon. Ultimately, our options for effectively neutralizing the Iranian nuclear threat are pretty limited and the high price of a military campaign may mean that the world is going to have to adapt to a nuclear capable Iran.

Well, our "ALWAYS ALLY" is trying as hard as they can to get us into a war which could explode the entire ME and finish bringing us to our knees. What kind of "ALWAYS ALLY" is that? Israel feels safe bombing little countries knowing they can't/won't retaliate because of their fear of what the U.S. might do.
