    Yes. Me.

She put those bloody union mafia scum in their place, from which they will never recover because even a Labour government wouldn't take the chance of returning to them the powers they originally held.

    Now, shoot me!

Uh huh; and she almost singlehandedly destroyed our steel, shipbuilding and coal mining industries and was finally the author of her own demise with the introduction of the Community Charge (poll tax). I take it you didn't have to live under her misrule?

Id like someone to expain to me what Thatcher replaced when all the industrial industries went to the wall, and how she would have paid for all the millions of unemployed without the recent monies coming from Scotland's oil.

Yeah, wonderful; record unemployment under her misrule, record inflation, riots in response to her policies. Yes, truly wonderful.

She was the sole reason why britain still gets to pretend that its a great power. And shes also the only reason why i have any faith in feminism at all.

Well, perhaps you should consider that if the oil wasn't there she wouldn't have done it, since she didn't believe in borrowing what can't be paid back.

You only have to look at the USA to see what happens when borrowing is beyond one's means. And to successive British governments that didn't learn the lesson.

Riots? You mean union induced criminality? Unemployment arising from gross over-employment with millions being paid for doing nothing with neverending union support?

I say good riddance, I'd never take pleasure in someone dieing but I certainly won't be mourning. She does not deserve my - or anyone else's - tears, considering how many people she's condemned to poverty.

Interesting, are you saying that Mrs Thatcher's policy was thrifty?

Because as far as I'm aware she never had a problem with government borrowing when it could be used to cover up failures in industrial policy.

As for lessons, was this lesson actually given or did right wing people merely claim it to be given?

It made no difference in the end, what with the subsequent Labour governments that followed. It is they that destroyed the U.K. beyond repair.

Sad news. UK was falling behind the world when she came about, big turn around since then. Liberals hate her and Reagan so much because they both trusted their people. Ideologies like socialism require power to be concentrated into the hands of a few, for everyone to have many masters. Union stuff, government monopoly of market BS. She was better then that, and you power seekers who want to dictate what people can keep of their earnings, how they should run their business etc...hated her for it.

Worse yet, she didn't fit the feminist mold. She didn't consider herself a victim, nor whine about lack of opportunity. She made her own opportunities and showed that the glass ceiling was conceptual, not real. Liberals of all kinds HATE that. People who think they are not oppressed when they have been clearly taught and told otherwise.

Thatcher is the best thing to come out of the UK since Churchill.

    Rubbish.
This wonderful lady was hated by the communist unions because she stamped their gravy train out.
Screw the corrupt commie Scargill to hell and may Lady Maggie Thatcher have the everlasting life in heaven so so richly deserves.

Maggie showed me the way out of the labour party and brought me to the wonderful truth of capitalism.
    Lady Thatcher, we love you.

    Limited view I am thinking.

This is an interesting take as you suggest that there is only one way to be a equal to men and that is to act just as they do?

Nice of you to say, I am not sure all will agree.

RIP Baroness Thatcher and keep Elvis Costello away from your grave...

She was truly great. She (*)(*)(*)(*)ed over the unions and the lazy scum socialists that sat on the dole whining. She (*)(*)(*)(*)ed over the Argies and the Soviet Union (which the left-scum supported). She brought the primary purpose rule to sop Muslim scum from colonising the UK (which labour repealed).

No. Not at all. She behaved like she wanted too. Liberals think that all women must believe as they do about socialism and redistribution and unions and everything else etc..It is evident in your own post when you thought that her politics were masculine.

    Most though.

    Don't we all.

And replaced them with bloody free-market mafia scum which have a tighter hold over the UK government than the unions could ever dream of.

Poverty declined during her tenure. Standard of living increased. Never let facts get in your way?

While I view her as one of my greatest political antagonists of our time, and despise her neoliberal policies and incompetency, I must admire her for her resolve and ambition. RIP.

Did you liberals get the people to start believing that government needed to spend more cash and get more involved in "social investing"? Strange you hate the very thing you stand for socialismworks.
