At no time did the entire defense budget including both wars add up to more than 20% of the federal budget.

Even in lib la la land 20% of the spending cannot be blamed for 100% of the deficit.

    Aint that great!.

Of course, they would not propose raising state taxes because they can't. Did you want to change the Constitution?

Obama did reduce the payroll tax and then raised it. The mandate raised taxes without raising rates. Obama is increasing fees for revenue.

you made a mistake claiming the poor do not pay taxes and will spend your time posting to try to wiggle out of it.

The right can not admit that they are wrong. A very, very major flaw.

Then libs should not be changing the subject to state taxes when the issue is federal income taxes.

But that is the sort of disinformation your side engages in all the time.

Sorry brah, some poor people do pay income taxes... Soooo... It depends entirely on who you consider poor or not. Of course the extremely poor won't pay income taxes... But then neither do the elderly. Those damn mooches.

    Not many, and not much.

Quite a few get back more through the (un)Earned Income Tax Credit than they paid in.

And from January to about March the hood is buzzing with excitement as those tax refunds get cashed and spent.

It was six culminating in 52 months of full employment and a deficit of a measly $161B. Then the Democrats including one Senator Obama took over and we got those job loses and no policies to effectively deal with it. What would you rather have 2004-2007 or 2009-2012?

Yes so why do we have the same people in charge who sent us there and have failed to get us out of it?

Well get Obama out of the way and let the Republicans extend the ladder down to pull them up as happened in the 90's when Gingrich and Kasich kicked the economy into high gear and in the 2000's when the Bush tax rate cuts went into effect in 2003. All Obama has is more excuses and all you can say is that it was just too hard so don't blame him.

Really? In the 2000/2001 recession how high did unemployment go and how long did it stay at that level? Now who about 2009?
In the 2000/2001 recession how high did the deficit go and for how long? How about 2009?

and won't work now, especially since the wealthy are paying the least taxes they have ever paid in over 70 years.[/QUOTE]

We want their parents to work and pay for the food and other necessities they need, don't you? Do you prefer someone other than the parent providing for their needs? If so why?

There is one, it is just as established as the work-ethic. In both cases those with more of it do better and that is the incentive to have it, it has nothing to do with taxes else explain how tax policies effect the work ethic.

At no time were the wars added to the budget under Bush. They were paid for by supplemental appropriations.

Supplemental appropriations only add to the debt.

You will continue to dance around the issue but the wars were never paid for.

The defense spending in 2007 was 25.9%. Defense $663, Deficit $161
    In 2004, it was 23.7% Defense $542, Deficit $413

I care not what you call it.

The government borrowed money to pay for all its overspending - most of which was not defense or wars.

Don't like the truth, do you? the fact is that there is an economic correlation here and the president, that only a complete moron would support (i mean you would have to be reeeaaaalllllyyyyy (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid to stand behind this guy) is telling the rosy side of things (despite the inaccuracies of the statements) but neglecting to tell the rest of the story.

Here is a question. Does voting for and supporting an idiot make one an even bigger idiot? At least the guy that was supported gets the goods...

No. We just want their parents to stop being liberal democrat parasites.

Ummmm. Iraq is over. Obama owns Afghanistan. Obama's lowest deficit is still more than twice Bush's highest deficit.

    Massive post fail. Uber-massive.

I know you don't. You have to continue to dance so you will not have to admit that the wars were not paid for.

I do not want children to work at anything but school and chores.

You however need to seek help for that rape fixation you have.

Of course, there is no correlation but that doesn't matter to you. You just need to make it look like you were responding to someone so you could do your rant.

I wonder who Winter Bear was referring to when talking about those who only at here to interfere with real discussions.

Useless point. There's a lot not paid for. Survey says that Obama has more than twice the S "not paid for" in any fiscal year than Bush.

Tell us how a Bush dollar borrowed is otherwise different than an Obama dollar owed. Thanks.

How is there no correlation, when discussing the economy, when there is a ratio of 2:1 increase of food-stamps:"job" creation????

I cant have a conversation with you, i don't know the language of your people.

the Banks were failing before Obama ever took office, the economy has turned around, but with republicans trying to block a recovery every step of the way, it's slow going

Tax rates affecting the circulation of money is what tax preference are all about and what our elected representatives like to do to (micro) manage our economy, instead of simply solving our social dilemmas via market friendly means.

You can thank the worthless obstructionist job hating Republicans for this. This is austerity at it's finest. Thank goodness we have some policy still in place to feed people otherwise we'd be in a full Republican depression. I just wish the Repubs would get their way and watch the country crumble to pieces so we can once and for all dismiss this ridiculous ancient ideology.
