New Burger in town.Didn't Hardy's or Rally's have a French Fry burger.
Or maybe it was an Onion ring burger.
I like the Idea of a French Fry Burger.But I have some problems
with proper cooking procedures of French fries.I like my French fries
mushy and full of potato meal.Not crispy.I used to be a Mngr. of a Mcd's.
I had many fights over making sure the shortening was changed due to
a schedule.The owner couldn't give a fig.The owners son was the same rank
as me.He too,dint give a fig about whether shortening needed changing,thereby
producing a much better product.I used to use the old test.Take a French fry
between 2 fingers and squeeze.White potato meal should ooze out.Meaning
the fry had what amounts to mashed potato effect inside.If there is no mashy
potato meal when squeezed,the fry just kinda snaps and is crispy and little
meal,then the fry is overcooked due to broken down shortening { needs to be replaced }
which also means the temp. is effected.Broken down shortening will eventually smoke
and have a dark color and won't cook right at temperature.
I will never order French fries at McD's due to this problem.

I dunno who 'they' are... men in suits who decide such things I suppose. Always looking for the next big thing. Don't like something too much 'cuz it won't be around long.

It's amazing you can go online and see Jack-in-the-Box menu for the entire United States. I'm sure McDonald's is the same too, but I had occasion to look at Jack recently and marveled at how simple it is to have a set menu nationwide. I'm sure they all have regional specials, but simplicity is the key to their success. I'll bet you'll agree. *wink*
