He had the courage to seek help as his lifestyle became increasingly hedonistic.
And the extent of the epic party sessions that prompted 25-year-old Zac Efron to check himself into rehab have now been revealed in a shocking report.
According to People, revellers were concerned to see the state of the High School Musical star at the party of an entertainment superstar's son last November.

Using a term for being high, Zac is alleged to have told his fellow partygoers that he was 'rolling.'
The source said: 'He stood maybe one foot away from my face and kept saying, "I've been up for four days. I haven't slept."'
'He was running around with his shirt off. He kept talking, going a mile a minute. He said something like he'd been on a party train.'
According to the report, Efron - who was cast as Arroyo Grande in the Disney franchise at the tender age of 17 - was careful about keeping his antics under wraps.

Sources told the publication that after Efron ascended to A List status after the second movie, he got in with a dangerous Hollywood crowd.
They write that he used cocaine and experimented with MDMA, which is the active ingredient in ecstacy tablets and known as 'Molly' on the street.
His reliance on escapism is said to have become worse when he failed to match his success in High School Musical with his post Disney escapades

Just one of many celebrities indulging in Cocaine and substance abuse.

So why do the 'authorities' ONLY target the supplier? Without the demand there is no supply, both are equally culpable surely as both are a menace to society.

It is the latest celebrity being excused for an excessive drug habit while the suppliers on the street are hunted like game by the politricks.

We used to go after them too, until people starting screaming:

    These people are addicted!

    Is a mental condition!

    They need help!

    Is not their fault!

Unfortunately, the dealers don't get to use those same excuses.

It makes more sense to stop hunting people over drugs in general.

    Decriminalize and/or legalize drugs.
