    1. I’d pop by Men’s Wearhouse and invest in a nice Italian asbestos suit.

    Then…

    2. Drop in at the Ticketron and see what’s playing, ‘cause I hear-tell there’s a kick-a$$ band down there, ALL the greats are in it; Hendrix, Morrison, Cobain…

Everyone is in Limbo, according to catholics. A form of suspended animation between life and death, and will called to heaven when Christ first returns.

I would marry Lilith and live in Hell forever and ever.

What is the "light of God"? Sounds like a goofy idea based off of the sun, doesn't it? Humans can be so silly.

That sounds like a fair interpretation of what's in the Apocalypse, though even after Christ's return, the saved were supposed to get a "new earth" to live in. I don't know where this idea of being in heaven for eternity comes from, but I suspect it's just people being overly simplistic about what their own religious writings indicate.

Not only that, but according to christian demonology, Lilith cannot bear any children. That means we can have all the unprotected sex we desire.

    the bible says many things

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."

Well there are religious books that claim that heaven will decend upon earth, and the two will become one.

Which books are those? And what is heaven that it could even do that? Notice the use of language - descend upon earth. That's flat-earther, geocentric thinking.

Some people think it points to god being an alien or group of aliens and that what we think of heaven is actually their homeworld. Heaven decending would be hem returning to earth I suppose.

Your comment is so confusing and lacking in coherence that I've chosen to ignore it. Either you're illiterate, not very well versed with English, or mentally confused. I'm instead going to address your title statement. If I ever found myself as a visitor in hell I'd choose to leave by my own free will and would do so. According to Christian thought God is all loving and does not want anyone to be in hell. Therefore the only thing keeping a person's spirit there is his own free choice. No walls, no demonic guards. You just walk, fly, float out when you think you deserve to. Exploring the cosmos sounds far more interesting than burning weenies in a fiery pit.

God is not the attorney. He is the judge. Christ Is your attorney. He has paid your fine.

no one is good. not one. Goodness does not get you into paradise with God and Christ....here's the hard part...the part that grates on humans. You must acknowledge that your attorney paid your fine with his sacrifice and that he is God's son.

So easy yet so hard. heh?

We had this discussion quite a while ago. That post of mine was from Aug 29 2012, 07:50 AM.

Anyhow, I have to ask since you've brought me back to it. Who says 'no one is good'?

Our own laws follow the idea that we are innocent until proven guilty. So what makes us all so damn evil if you really believe that?

Since you mentioned man's construct of innocent until proven guilty...even though that does not apply to republicans and white Hispanics, what makes someone good? That they do not steal? Have you ever stolen? I mean even as little as a paper clip? then you are not good. have you lusted for someone? adulterer? Lied? even a little white one? Then you are not good. period

    New International Version
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone. ark 10:18

I can relate FS, as we all probably can on a temporary basis. I myself do not believe in divorce. I believe in torture...anyway.

A prior poster gave descriptions of what goes on in Hell...and i'm assuming since we are talking about hell that people seem to be in agreement that it exists. I've been in situations before....situations where there seemed to be no way out of the physical place and I've thought...this must be a small taste of what hell is like.

"Hell" is as real as Santa's Workshop, (because of course there is equal evidence for both) where the magic elves make toys that Santa magically delivers to all the good boys and girls in one night. But it's probably not as real as, say, bigfoot and aliens, because there are more bigfoot/alien sightings than people seeing "hell"....so none of those are likely real.

Jesus did not believe in humanity NEARLY as much as modern Secular Humanism does (even has "humanity" in the name!) But Christianity has a person who accepted slavery in its name. Clear attitude difference.
