I have the feeling the GOP wanted to give Americans a chance to REALLY understand what Obamacare is going to cost them in premiusm and penalties, both of which are due to increase significantly in 2014.

By setting the next deal deadline shortly after the new higher rates go up the public will not only understand just how expensive it is going to be but, the Obamacare medical horror stories will have begun to surface in the news.

And why would Obama's reliably favorable News coverage of Obamacare suddenly become unfavorable?

AS THE NEWS REPORTERS, EDITORS AND MEDIA COMMUNITY ACROSS AMERICA ALSO EXPERIENCE THIS STICKER SHOCK AND DECLINE IN MEDICAL CARE PERSONALLY they will report this to the public and they'll be thought by some to be avant garde for breaking from the herd to accurately report something negative about Dear Leader.

And that will, I'd guess they believe, cause many of Obama's former supporters to have an unfavorable opinion of it and him.

The truth about Obama & the Dems' law breaking or Constitution over reach and their lies and manipulations will get out into the news and spread into the heartland of America, eventually.

The GOP is counting on that taking place by the Jan. 2014 deadline.

 

Sort of like thow the Tea Party shut down the Government and said "Okay, Obama, let's see what you got"?

How will the parasites on the left handle things when the media gets off the closure argument an back to the failed scheme? How will they do when they have to write a big check every month for the mess? When they have to decide if buying high cost unwanted insurance is more important than eating or working?

They have successfully prevented the dems from going forward with immigration reform for a year and they will for another year. I support immigration reform, but they are playing the dems letting them have petty victories. The new income verification requirement that is part of the deal if it passes for Obamacare will be a cut in its effect and translate to spending cuts in exchange for an extension of spending for the same period of time that the government already could have continued to function. Don't let your crowing blind you to reality. The dems just sold undocumented immigrants down the river in exchange for WIC checks.

Oh come on, I've been listening to Republican yeehaws be belligerent about things like Civil War and ceding from the Union for the past 5 years.. I've tried numerous times to say "Hey, you realize that nearly 2 million Americans died from that?" and yet it keeps being used as some romanticized connection to a "better time." So I've finally reached a breaking point on it. I'm not a liberal in many aspects of my view points but I can assure you that I know I represent the majority of Americans that say that the US would be a better place without the Tea Partiers.

It seems their thinking does limit them a little bit. I guess it's difficult to put the world into perspective when you believe the earth is only 6000 years old. Many Tea Party leaders apparently believe the Flintstones was intended as a documentary.

 

Nah, you want to blow up the government. Otherwise you wouldn't have picked such a goofball strategy to decrease spending AND you would have picked this fight while Bush was president and handing out free toaster ovens.
