Sorry, and what about this question? >
Margot imagine that you practiced - ‘Sorcery which considered swindling.. and prevents people from getting proper medical care’ in KSA and local law enforcement got you. You would have preferred that Saudis punished you according to their laws or any other more soft punishment?
    :)

Yes I know that you are not a criminal and you don't rape or murder anybody. That's why I said Margot imagine that you practiced - ‘Sorcery which considered swindling.. and prevents people from getting proper medical care’ in KSA and local law enforcement got you. You would have preferred that Saudis punished you according to their laws or any other more soft punishment?

Well where's your answer? - you would have preferred that Saudis punished you according to their laws? Give me YES or NO :)

Well, Margot it is funny to conduct debate about legal system in KSA but your perseverance ( you still didn’t give me the answer - You would have preferred that Saudis punished you according to their laws or any other more soft punishment? ) shows that you don’t want to share the fate of this Saudi woman, right?

However it’s good for you. It shows that you have some common sense and you do realize that in this case the punishment (beheading) doesn’t correspond to the character and degree of the social danger of the offence, the circumstances of its commission, and the personality of the guilty party.

Now we have a lot of so-called “useful simpletons” (useful simpletons for regimes like KSA etc) a sort of advocates for underdeveloped, barbaric regimes. They justify the barbaric acts and cry about “special way of life”, “traditions”, “It is extremely foolish to try to superimpose the belief values of the West onto the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These are two cultures do not even start off from the same place and then they go in opposite directions.” etc, but usually they don’t want to share the fate of ppl who live under those regimes.

I would prefer to live in a society with some elements of Sharia justice. It is a matter of perspective. An Islamic society is infinitely more fair and you have a whole lot more freedom, from the Saudi perspective. In America, the righteous lock themselves in their homes at night so that criminals can run free. Many Islamic neighborhoods do not have a single lock on a single door. Why should they? There just isn't any crime. Are there entire neighborhoods or cities in western societies where it is not safe for women to be in for fear of being mugged or worse?

Societies are not like a buffet line where you can pick and choose what you want. It is a total and integrated package. You may be offended by the Arabian justice system, but if you lived in that culture you would probably learn to appreciate a crime free society with virtually no homelessness, virtually no addiction, and virtually no hunger. Their justice system is only a positive if you are a law abiding citizen. If you have criminal tendencies, then you may wish to relocate.

The only trouble I had with Arabian police is when I dropped and lost my wallet near a busy intersection in Abu Dhabi. I thought I would never see it again, but my Arab friends told me to retrace my steps and I would find it. It took them two days to convince me, and when I retraced my steps I found my wallet on a sidewalk two days later. When I picked it up, a police man criticized me for leaving it on the ground as a temptation for the weak willed for two whole days. Apparently, it caused worry in the neighborhood that if someone picked it up, the owner would not find it. Nobody even considered stealing it. That was unthinkable.

If you live in an Islamic country, you are completely aware of what many see as severe abuses against humanity. However, if you open your mind to it, you will realize that it works for that culture. Most people I know who have actually lived in an Islamic country realize that the trade-off are worth it.

I doubt that most of you will ever understand this. I didn't believe it was possible until I lived there. I would just ask that you all would have the intellectual honesty to admit that there is a possibility that you may be missing part of the equation.

Works great, even for rape victims and girls who shame their families.

    A gesture of over-protectionism, I guess not,
it does not need pure muscle to drive a car nowadays, car manufacturers already put in place hydraulic steering,
and I think they do have driver licensure guidelines to fulfill.
