The LA times piece uses the same approach by saying ....Yep....even if you don't need "better, more comprehensive, more costly" insurance.. to bad...suck it up and quit whining! Sure Obama "overpromised", "oversold", "misled", but it's for your own damn good you're being forced to upgrade! GET IT! Now get in line and shut up.
Well, it ends up being for a person's own good (I can assure you without insurance the "advanced" American health care system kicks you to the curb real fast), but the societal interest in this small percentage of people who elect to carry crappy insurance policies is that the rest of us have to pay for you when your gamble on "yes I have crappy coverage but its OK because nothing will go wrong" goes bad. That Obama needed to have an asterisk warning you if you were a person who had junk health insurance that Obamacare would require it to be upgraded to GOOD insurance is some "nanny-state hand holding" government warnings that will be included next time.

McCain is broken. You shouldn't require someone to fall on their sword because it is appropriate for you to. Republicans are not in power, and Bush had nothing to do with Obamacare.
All I'm saying is it would make for a better world if we policed our own instead of having others do it. If the left was screaming at Obama for all of his screw-ups, he would listen a lot more closely and be more apt to fix his gaffes. If the right screams at him, he'll just slough it off as partisan politics.
