Sadly though, we run to Walmart and buy made in China every day, and on the way home we listen to Limbaugh etal demonizing American Union workers and saying outsourcing is good.

Pat the Bigot is wrong. The GOP cannot survive without embracing the increased (and increasing) racial and ethnic diversity of this nation. They won the white vote in 2012. Obama won the election.

Of course, embracing diversity could cost the GOP the white supremacist vote, so it's a double-edged sword for them.

The unions got greedy and mean. I have NO sympathy for them. Look at Detroit - ruined, RUINED, because of unions and democrats. They own that stinkin' mess.

What is the white supremacist vote? That couldn't elect a dog catcher in most localities. It is so tiny as to not even exist for practical purposes.

I noticed you were basically devoid of mentioning any issues. You just mentioned tribalism. As the OP highlighted, Buchanan's issues come down to this:

Do you have anything to say about those issues, or is it all race and ethnicity with you?

You do realize that Hillary Clinton sat on the Walmart board and her husband made China into a permanent trade partner thus dooming the American working class to seeing their jobs fly to China.

There has been no greater betrayal in American history than that one act. Giving China ballistic missile technology would be a close second by....you guessed it- Bill Clinton.

Then, there are the advantages of moving to China for American corporations of which near slave labor is but one of three. The other two are progressive in nature- regulations and the high corporate tax rate which is second only to Japan's. Oddly enough, Japan and the US suffer from high gov't debt and economic stagnation despite being technologically advanced. I wonder why.........

That is the Left's multicultural plan come to fruition. They are in the process of watering down the voting franchisee of white Americans.

I doubt the Left would love immigration and multiculturalism, if we were allowing say Eastern Europeans who despised socialism in order to dilute the progressive vote. That wouldn't do at all.

    - - - Updated - - -

The Leftists here won't touch that with a 10 foot pole. They are "global citizens" at heart, and have no true love for their nation. They are in love with an ideology that is more of a pseudo-religion- Cultural Marxism.

Do you make your own clothes? Shoes? Pens? Pencils? Paper? Computer?

Great, so until you do, let's not start demonizing the division of labor and comparative advantage. Not all of us would prefer to live in the dark ages.

    1. the only people i know that listen to limbaugh are leftists.. evidently, they hang on every word he says.
    2. If he said that, which i doubt, he would be a fool. No one thinks outsourcing is good, except the beneficiaries of it.
    3. He demonizes workers? I doubt that too, but like i said, i don't follow his rants, so i guess you should know.
    4. Massive govt regulations, crony tax deals, & govt favoritism is killing american industry, now, not walmart. They are just adapting to the regulations & still making a profit.

So the solution? I know! We could go picket wells fargo!

Seriously? The govt is at the root of ALL our economic problems, & we want to empower them MORE to meddle in our business affairs? We let them distract us with imaginary boogie men in the corporate world? Oh, i know there are plenty of manipulating, evil, greedy, & 'bad' men in the corporate world, so why should we vote for representatives that curry favors to them?

We are thus in the position of having to borrow from Europe to defend Europe, of having to borrow from China and Japan to defend Chinese and Japanese access to Gulf oil, and of having to borrow from Arab emirs, sultans and monarchs to make Iraq safe for democracy. We borrow from the nations we defend so that we may continue to defend them. To question this is an unpardonable heresy called 'isolationism.' ~Patrick J. Buchanan

And yet, his show is constantly touted for the number of listeners... hard for me to believe that the majority are on the left of the political spectrum.

And... Uh... Adam Smith, David Recardo and basically anyone who's ever taken more than a moment to think about the economics of comparative advantage.

I agree with this completely, don't hate the player, hate the game! =)

Lot of good that'd do.... if they failed we'd all be on the hook for it.

Motor-Voter (Clinton) was a pretty big betrayal of this country, because it opened the door for widespread voter fraud and manipulation of elections by the dems. Republicans are suck suckers for being duped and out-maneuvered every darn time.

Ah yes, Pat "It wasn't Hitler's fault" Buchanan. Who listens to him these days besides paleocons? Even the libertarians I know stay away from him because of his Whig-like economic ideas.

I do agree with Pat on at least one thing.... the GOP needs to be more ‘America first’

a party can not keep holding America hostage and win them over at the voting booth too
