What I find funny about this is that I went to the site to try it out, and it was fairly easy. I am an independent contractor and make too much money for subsidies, but it was simple, direct and gave me several great options I would never have had for healthcare before. I was surprised after all the horror stories.

IMO, the problems are being blown way out of proportion. Anything new will have glitches, and plenty of them. But I experienced no problems at all. Just speaking for myself. I'm looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

I wonder if Mark Pryor,Landrieau and other red state Dems will ask Obama to campaign with them. kind of doubt it. He's unpopular. Bush 2 unpopular. If not for extreme loyalty by his base it would be even lower.

That's why they are known as the ToiletPaperMemo.

As you may know, a bill that makes major changes to the country's health care system became law in 2010. Based on what you have read or heard about that legislation, do you generally favor or generally oppose it?

    Sept. 27 - 29 2013

    Favor 38%
    Oppose 57%
    No opinion 4%

    Mar 19 - 21 2010

    Favor 39%
    Oppose 59%
    No opinion 2%

    Read post's 25 and 26

    Remember the question was
Based on what you have read or heard about that legislation, do you generally favor or generally oppose it?

Also remember $200,000,000 was spent in advertising to persuade people it was bad

It will have to be in affect for a while before you can honestly making an assessment
Unfortunately Congress does not want to help the country by working with Obama to repair ACA

That is great that your wife has insurance now. Now lets see her get in to her Dr. when she needs to with everyone else trying to get in and see the at the same time. That is going to be the main problem. To many people in the system and not enough medical providers.

No, the delusional aspect is the ranting of the right wing, the right wing noise machine and the insurance company lobbyists, trying (once again) to exploit the fact that most people are hardly affected at all (and largely in a positive way), and that they don't understand what's actually in the act.

My wife is one of those millions of people who got cancellation notices. She was worried, because she doesn't understand things like insurance. I was not worried, and had been expecting it.

Anyone who tells you that they are better off having high prices, limited benefit individual heath insurance is either is too scared or too uninformed to look on an exchange.

The exchanges will give individuals and small businesses access to group rates which they never could get before. And they will be at the most, no less expensive than what they have now, for the most part.

Not only that, but they will cover more than most of the old plans cover, and the insured no longer have to worry about being cancelled at the whim of the insurance company or running through all the cash payout of the policy if they have a long term health problem or surgical complications.

The website will get worked out, and people will sign up.

    And the system will work.

She did with no problem. Thanks for your concern.

I don't see Obamacare getting better any time soon, and these people will have months to see how Obama's political clout is tarnished in the process.

Maybe it's because there aren't any positive stories. Check out this site where you can post your health insurance cancellation letter. Not many happy campers among these folks. Maybe your beloved Ms. Maddows is leading you down the fool's path?

    http://mycancellation.com/

I got to page 20 and still didn't reach the end. Real eye-opener for you lala-landers.

Also hemorrhoids coverage, because major numbers of Democratic Party voters are going the be growing those after ObamaCare gets finished raping their fundamental financial assets.

No surprise here. We all know that those that get healthcare for free or close to free will be all for it.

Obviously, making little or no money is what everyone should strive for now. Think of how little you'll have to pay for health insurance!

cough, dont really care what others predicted about Romney. This comes down to pure math. Cough. What are we up to a couple hundred people now? 15 million losing their coverage, people losing jobs, sounds like a great job you lefties have done to fix healthcare thus far. Hopefully soon you will be able to figure out how to program a website so we can sign up another couple hundred or maybe even a thousand!!!!!! yayyyy! libs. not

Hahahaha! Some ultra biased radical liberal article spits out an article that is pure propaganda and suddenly it is "current events". The rollout was bad enough but people losing their coverage is a sign of things to come.Pretty soon the voters that matter will realize what a disaster obamacare and the dems will pay next november.

Sounds like more made up baloney peddled by the right to me.

15 million being cancelled or jacked up because they had individual health insurance?

    That bothers you???

    Why?

That category is the most expensive and lease effective coverage you can buy other than the junk policies that companies like McDonald's, Wal Mart, and Macy's cynically offered to their employees (plans that covered practically nothing).

The ACA was designed to offer these people access to affordable and effective insurance at group rates, rates that only large corporations could buy before.

But in wingnut world, the noise machine trumpets this outcome as some sort of bad thing.

To be sure, they are exploiting the fact that conservative media has been lying to its audience about what the ACA is and trying to scare them to the maximum extent possible. And mainstream corporate media has done little to educate people either.

So people are scared and confused. That's the outcome Fox and Rush want.

But as the portal gets straightened out, most people are going to find (as Deborah Cavallero, Dianne Barette,Edie Sundby, already have), that they have more, better, and in most cases, cheaper options.

    - - - Updated - - -

We know you're really hoping and praying for that outcome. We can also safely assume that you'll still be bellowing that claim long after it turns out that most people are happy and better off.

Such is the alternative reality of wingnut world.

I stopped expecting the truth from radical liberal progressives when I realized they cover for their King Obama 24/7. I have to chuckle at the clueless who choose to ignore reality.
