One of the factors that increased the USA's eminence and status in the world is that we did NOT, as a rule, EXECUTE our captured enemies, which is what you are advocating!

Germany lost many allies and internal support for its policies of executing and expelling the "enemies" of their state, also based often onnothing more than religious beliefs, affiliation, and the horrendous lying propaganda issued by the bigots, a situation exactly parallel with what the Islamophobes are advocatiing today to utterly destroy from within what America and other Western countries stands for.

Germany has also carried the stain on its reputation and soul for decades after the war ended for its horeendous acts, the same acts Islamophobes ultimately demand - the compelte annihilation of over a billion peaceful believers of a particular religion. No thanks.

Its YOU who are our enemy!

Our denial is pathetic. A very powerful and true reason Bin Laden;s body was dumped was to deny his worshipers and followers access to make a shrine of the body of a man who spit directly in the eye of the arrogant "Great Satan" and lived for more than a decade immune to ALL the military might of the USA and its (purchased) allies.

People who sit all day spreading propaganda BS from nutcake whackjobs who manufacture the most ridiculous theories and lies about the "Dhimmification of America" because some college somewhere installs a few footbaths to attract the millionaire students to come and pay monstrous out of country tuition in cash, or because some high school teaches about Muslim holidays, is a real indication in my book of having some real issues, issues much worse than agoraphobia in my view.

Is Islamophobia a "real phobia"? I don't know. But if someone demands we destroy our OWN country and everything it stands for because people read particular books or believe in their god of choice, I don't care what your problem is called, its a PROBLEM for ALL Americans!

While I take the gentle point made by SFJeff as an indication of his good breeding and manners, I do not believe he was indicating that no one should comment upon matters in 'foreign' lands. You have every right to express an opinion upon this matter, and it is just such (shall we say eccentric) opinions which generate discussion upon these boards.

While there were elements of terror in their act, these men were essentially crazed murderers. No specific political outcome was either expected or specified to arise from the killing - they were simply common but deadly thugs. Strange as it may seem to you - I find very little which could be deemed humorous in the cold blooded killing of this young man.

And if we are to express concern about the dangers of 'British terrorism' affecting US society, may I remind you that one of the principal reasons we are all threatened by violent acts of terrorism, is the self-serving activities (for probably the last sixty years) of the entity known as the USA. (Which may go some way to explaining the odd suggestion as to how your society might be run, to better protect Americans and 'foreigners' alike.)

Well aware, it's basically a person(or it could even be persons) who take multiple lives but it doesn't have to be different occasions of murder. If someone uses a machine gun, they're taking multiple lives in the same time and space.

    Terrorists are basically glorified murderers.

Actually it does have to be different occasions, so you clearly aren't "well aware".

I agree. But calling two men that killed one man "serial killers" is just flat out wrong

Your dumb (and racist) question was answered before you even asked it. As I've been saying all along, if ANY 100% positive, convicted killer of any color, represents a serious threat to the lives of people (both inside and/or outside the prison), then of course they should be executed. Now you can stop pretending that you didn't already know that.

PS - when someone doesn't respond to you with a day or so, it doesn't mean they couldn't answer your question. You can quit pretending about that too. Some of us DO have a REAL life outside of Political Forum.

I don't have time to quibble about did he say this, or say that. Think whatever you want. Point is, if convicted killers, who authorities deem a big risk, don't get executed, then people inside and/or outside the prison are being put at risk (of being killed). Now, if you want to address THAT, do so, OK ?

I did address that, so why don't you rebut what I said? For a refresher:

Stop using the phony word Islamaphobe. . I am not advocating that we destroy our country. The Muslim Brotherhood and the dozens of US front groups are who has advocated that (in document form)**. As for what you call "ridiculous theories", do you think you are informed enough about Islamization in the West to be able to make that value judgement ? Aren't you one of the Islamapologists who flunked the Islamization Quiz with a zero ? Or would you like to take it now to see how much you don't know about the subject ?

** "The process of settlement [of Islam in the United States] is a "Civilization-Jihadist" process with all that the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood in North America] must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" their miserable house by their hands, and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated, and Allah's religion is made victorious over all religions."

Mohamed Akram, "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America" May 22, 1991, Government Exhibit 003-0085, United States vs. Holy Land Foundation, et al. 7 (21).

And if I am YOUR "enemy", then you are one of the Muslim Brotherhood destroyers of America, and I don't doubt that you are.

!. You apparently don't know why US troops (and your courageous Australian ones as well) have been fighting and dying in Afghanistan. Your ignorance (and others like you) is one of the great dangers in the world today.

    2. You express not only a high level of ignorance about US (and your country's) activity in foreign affairs, but stupidity as well. I did not not deem anything to be humorous about the killing of Lee Rigby, and I don't think you thought that either. You're just coming in here and talking like a fool.

Doesn't need to be ANY criminalogists commenting on it at all, for the person of average intelligence to be convinced. Simply that dangerous convicted killers can kill other inmates in the prison, and/or communicate to others outside to kill people outside the prison, is common sense. And they don't have to be crime lords like Al Capone, or the modern day gang leaders. They could be anyone. This is understood. Convincing isn't necessary (for those of average intelligence or above).

I don't know what you're asking me to rebut. I haven't seen anything you've said that minimizes anything I've said one iota.

And why do you ask me a stupid question ?, when (if you read my posts) you would know the answer to it. I made it clear (Post # 36 et al) that I only advocate a death penalty for convicted KILLERS, whereby the evidence against them is 100% positive. You're not a responsible poster. You come in here without reading the thread. That's annoying, and you're a nuisance.

    *Sigh*

You've also made it clear that your reasoning behind advocating the death penalty for murderers was that they can order hits outside of prison (honestly, how normal is this, anyways?). To prove this you provided an example of a gang leader ordering hits on a bunch of people from inside prison. The problem with your logic is that the guy who did this wasn't a convicted murderer. So, obviously murderers aren't the only ones ordering these probably rare hits on people outside of prison.

Well, I was seven when the invasion of Afghanistan commenced, but contrary to your arrogant claims, most educated people know why we are fighting in Afghanistan, and while I readily acknowledge their courage, they are not my Australian troops - I am a British citizen (I just happen to be studying here).

Allow me to refresh your memory in respect of the Afghan conflict. President George W. Bush claimed that Osama Bin Laden was behind the attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon. Bin Laden denied any responsibility at the time*, but the Taliban government offered to turn him over to a third party (such as another nation or the ICC) for trial if the US could produce any solid evidence of his involvement.

*In 2007, he is rumoured to have admitted involvement, but claimed the Taliban government knew nothing of his activities.

At the same time, 1,000 Muslim clerics from across Afghanstan, which had convened at the request of the Taliban leadership to decide the fate of bin Laden, issued a fatwa, expressing sadness for the deaths in the 9/11 attacks, urging bin Laden to leave their country, and calling on the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to conduct an independent investigation of "recent events to clarify the reality and prevent harassment of innocent people."

White House spokesperson Ari Fleischer rejected the response, saying the time for talk had ended and it was time for action.

On 5 October, the Taliban offered to try bin Laden in an Afghan court, so long as the U.S. provided what it called "solid evidence" of his guilt. The U.S. government dismissed the request for proof as "request for delay or prevarication". On 7 October, as the U.S. aerial bombing campaign began, President Bush ignored questions about the Taliban's offer and said instead "Full warning had been given, and time is running out." A week into the bombing campaign, on 14 October, Abdul Kabir, the Taliban's third ranking leader, offered to hand over bin Laden if the U.S. government provided evidence of his guilt and halted the bombing campaign. President Bush rejected the offer as non-negotiable.

The United Nations Charter, to which all the Coalition countries are signatories, provides that all UN member states must settle their international disputes peacefully and no member nation can use military force except in self-defense. The U.S. Constitution states that international treaties, such as the United Nations Charter, that are ratified by the U.S. are part of the law of the land.

Your nationalistic arrogance (and that of others like you) is one of the reasons innocent men, women, and children, are dying every day in places like Afghanistan and Iraq.

I happen to have spent some time travelling around your beautiful country - how much time have you spent in either Australia or Great Britain? I venture to suggest that I know rather more about your society than you do about mine. :)
