"regulated by the community as a whole"

Fascist regard the state as the community. So do most all modern leftists. They recognize that they don't need to own the means of production only control it.

As to your question you cant read.

"the means of production, distribution, and exchange"

Says nothing about public services. Conservatives aren't anarchists. We believe in a government to provide for the commons. Care of the commons is not a "socialist" idea. Its as fundamental to a Lockean limited government model as it is to communism. Only the ignorant think that all government amounts to socialism.

Arguing with the Oxford dictionary does nothing to further the credibility of your argument.

What you call "public services" ARE examples of socialism. You're talking about the government providing goods and services (fire fighting, postal services, public education, etc) to "the commons" using a pool of funds that we all contribute to in the form of taxes... http://examples.yourdictionary.com/examples/examples-of-socialism.html

    who has signed/enrolled again?

Even if website works, Obamacare could see trouble ahead
    .Reuters
By David Morgan November 27, 2013 4:22 PM

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Obama administration says it is on target to make its problematic health insurance website work smoothly for the "vast majority" of users by this weekend, but some Americans who want coverage by January 1 may not be able to get it - even if they successfully navigate the portal and sign up for a plan.

The problem, according to insurance industry officials and other specialists, is that the administration is behind schedule in building a computer program needed to help insurers verify the names, insurance plan choices and other details of those who sign up for health coverage under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare.

The computer program - which administration officials acknowledge will not be finished until sometime next year - is among several crucial pieces of administrative technology the government is devising to serve new online healthcare marketplaces that allow people to purchase subsidized private health insurance or join the Medicaid program for the poor in all 50 states.

The missing technology includes a computer program to make sure government subsidies to help low-income enrollees pay for coverage get to insurers.

The programs under construction are part of a complex federal technology system that is crucial to the new health system's goal of helping millions of uninsured and under-insured Americans sign up for coverage through HealthCare.gov and other websites.

The online marketplaces opened for enrollment on October 1 but have been beset by technical problems, particularly with HealthCare, gov, the federally run website that serves consumers in 36 states.

Even if HealthCare.gov is able finally to handle the flood of enrollees that officials expect in December, the administration could face a backlash from people who have enrolled but whose paperwork will not be completed by the time their coverage is supposed to take effect on January 1.

Significant new difficulties would hinder efforts by President Barack Obama and his Democratic allies to show they have dealt with the botched rollout of the healthcare overhaul......

So where are these people you claim that He-Walks-on-Water has miraculously saved? Your blasphemy will surely earn you a special place.

Thousands are signing up now (especially in California).

So much better than leaving them for dead without insurance as so many Republicans prefer.

they had their insurance cancelled as a result of ACA.....that's hardly a choice...do you really believe that no choice is freedom or liberty.
give us those numbers compared to those who had their insurance taken away...remember, "if you like your health care, you can keep it?" How about I write a law that relieves you of your insurance, then compels you to run to the government? Right.............it's all about choice............................Then all I have to do is lie, just like you............so sweet

See my earlier post re the holocaust which killed 45,000 Americans every year for lack of health care. Pro death Republicans seek to restore the holocaust but now they are out of luck.

Me>> Obama got his jobs bill and it failed so get YOUR facts straight. The Republicans since winning the House back have sent over 30 jobs bills to the Senate and Reid has blocked everyone of them.

    What is the lie?

One provides a father figure and one provides a mother figure, that difference somehow escapes you?

You think there is no difference between a mother and a father in a child's life? You believe women and men are the same in all respects?

Or gets adopted by a heterosexual couple which is what we should strive for since there are thousands out there begging for adoption. Certainly for new born or young children there is no necessity to look to homosexual couples for prospective adoptions. For older children under extraordinary conditions and after careful screening perhaps exceptions could be made.

So allow them to adopt, but discriminate against them at the same time....

That depends on what you think a "father figure" provides and what you believe a "mother figure" provides.

If you believe that the role of a traditional "father figure" is to teach a child about work ethic, justice, responsibility and self-sacrifice - why is a penis necessary?
Similarly, if you believe that the role of a traditional "mother figure" is to nurture a child and teach about love - why is a vagina necessary?

Are you saying gay men can't be nurturing and that lesbian women can't be strong?

Other than physiological differences in their anatomies, yes I do. Men and women may have different tendancies (arguable whether these are due to 'nature or nurture), but homosexual people - by definition - have illustrate that they do not adhere to many of these.

I believe Mr_Truth was pointing out that it is a known fact that the lack of health care costs thousands of American lives each year, it is fair to assume Republican politicians know this, and they choose to accept these deaths rather than prevent them.

How is this not killing people on purpose?

QUOTE=Bluesguy;1063367619]. Certainly for new born or young children there is no necessity to look to homosexual couples for prospective adoptions. .[/QUOTE]

You have NO idea what you're talking about! I worked in a foster care and adoption agency for 26 years and I know all to well how hard it is to find homes for kids, even young kids. There are NOT "thousands " wanting to adopt. Where do you get this clap trap from? It's irresponsible and opprobrious to post this kind of idiocy without knowing the fact, without doing the research.

This is from California which I selected at random:

    http://www.families4children.com/adopt_children_available.cfm

Currently, the greatest need is for adoptive parents open to adopting the following:
    •Children age 4 and up
•Sibling sets of 2 or more
•African American children (commonly placed with African American adoptive parents)

4 years old! Sibling groups! We cannot close ANY DOORS to children who are in need of a permanent home. Anybody who thinks that we should does not give a crap about the kids. You can not see past your stupidity and bigotry to even want to hear this. What is wrong with you??? :steamed:
