Why is it so hard for liberals to understand we do NOT want their socialism, their superior attitude, and the some how brain damaged idea that they have a right to tell us how to live. We do NOT want to be told what to eat, what to drink, what to say, and especially what to think. We do NOT want their big government interfering in our lives.

IMO the country is getting really tired of liberals interferring in our lives and trying to tell every one what to do. We do NOT want your big government regulations.

Yeah but when you age quite a bit more one day you might find yourself asking, "Why isn't it all that hard any more?" Life is full of these -- er -- little joys.

The miracle of modern medicine will hopefully prevent that. :fingerscrossed:

Lewftwingers don't care. They KNOW that what they are endlessly pushing for amounts to the greatest good for the greatest number of people despite however many polling returns might show that they are wrong. Their solution set for that minor worry? "More ideologically based Party Propaganda!" Fortunately for them they always seem to have a willing helpmate in the form of the bulk of the Mainstream Media . . . which always obligingly pushes their messages to the masses.

By the way, it looks to me as if the masses are gradually buying into the Left's propaganda. But perhaps that's just the cynic in me.

Oh no doubt. Personally though I find clean living (in regards to exercise and diet) and filthy thoughts to be a great help in that department.

Oh I dunno; it seem natural that into every forum some trolling must fall. Look at it as a posting tax. The Left LIKES taxation after all, yes?

The fact of the matter is that the OP is dead right. The great struggle is between MORE GOVERNMENT and less government. That's why there is no centrist position. The struggle does not admit of any compromise. It's either more government or less government.

The Conservatives do it too, or have you forgotten the fight the religious right has been trying to shove Christianity down the throats of every American in direct contravention of the Constitution.

Get over yourselves. Civilized society means that we take care of one another. The roots of socialism goes back to when the Caveman would bring back mammoth meat to the cavewoman and the cavechildren. Oh, and that helped our species advance.

People are labled trolls when another person doesnt have a good answer to the post.

Most real Americans are usually labled trolls , racist, bigots, and many more names when they dont conform to the radical liberal mold.

Yeah but their's plenty of conservatives who are guilty of doing the same things too. That's why I take the approach of willing to respect everyone while remaining an equal oppurtunity offender.

Many Conservatives that aren't a part of the religious right are good folks, and some I enjoy debating. I've found myself agreeing with some on the right on some issues. The problem is, too few of them exist to make a dent in the theology-based platform of the Moral Majority.

There exists a problem too often seen in the United States of "all or nothing" agreement. If someone isn't lock-step with all viewpoints, they are ostracized with terms such as RINO and DINO. This problem is directly traceable to our reliance on a two-party system.

It takes both liberals and conservatives to have an effective debate. If a government is dominated by Conservative viewpoints, the liberals are alienated, if the Liberals have control of the government, the Conservatives are alienated. That's what's so bad about the American two-party system.

I take pride in the fact that I have both Liberals and Conservatives on my friends list on this site.

'We' don't want corporate entities running wild, with fat cats controlling everything, and the economy in the toilet, like the other side wants?

Oh, I know, that's funny, Liberals could ask Conservatives a similar question about what we do NOT want.

Taking care of one another doesnt give some the right to tell me what to eat, what to drink, what kind of car I should drive, and the list goes on and on.

your grasp of politics is lacking. Your bank of knowledge is also lacking. Your posts are meaningless baits.

Because I've seen you constantly repeat the same stuff that has been debunked a zillion times by me and others and you still cling to false information like your life depended on it. You add nothing to these forums and your posts are literally always attacking people who believe in factual information. Even your post title is baiting 'Why is it so hard' and then continue to be slanderous towards people without your ridiculously uninformed world view. So yes, I will attack you because you are part of the problem of why so many people in this country are getting screwed by a government that has for the last 40 years shifted the title of 'public servant' from 'one who listens and performs based on the will of the people who elected them into office' to 'one who does the bidding of the corporate donors'.

As well, this whole thing about 'liberals want to tell you what to think' is just a conservative scare talking point. Even 'liberals' were against stupid nanny laws like that whole thing about drink size regulation at NY restaurants. We're not dumb, we're not invasive. And at the same time conservatives want to tell you what's appropriate in your bedroom with governors pushing for 'anti-blowjob laws'.

    Are you friggin' serious?

This is why I called you out for what you are...uninformed and a part of the overall problem of spreading disinformation while baiting at the same time. I stand by this. If I get dinged, so what. It's true and you constantly prove it with each and every one of your meaningless threads you start.

That is the perfect reply because that is the perfect truth. Once they begin winning the little battles neither side would be willing to pick a 'level' of government and then find a way to make that level permanent; the best of intentions notwithstanding. As I wrote elsewhere about another facet of the struggle between the Left/Right ideologies, there is no braking mechanism by which things are definitively halted once they reach a certain point and so the fanatics of either side CONTINUE pushing and pushing way past the point at which reasonable people tend to declare a certain spot to be a reasonable and logical place to halt.
