I assume you are aware that the source he checked does not a filter for "peer reviewed? Thus the data are bogus. And, he did not check for "anthropogenic global warming", just "global warming". So his count is worthless. And he somehow missed the 1000+ peer reviewed studies that were skeptical of AGW.

I've seen nothing from anyone that demonstrates that what is happening now is not naturally occurring. Nor has anyone ever demonstrated that what is occurring - whether abnormal or not - must be caused by manmade CO2.

Scientists do not disagree that Global warming is happening although there are questions in relation to how much is from mans contribution.

Having worked in Environmental Engineering for over a decade - do not confuse with "environmentalist" I worked to clean up contaminated soil and groundwater, I have a fair bit of experience in this area.

Global warming is 4th on my list of environmental issues. There are very serious environmental issues facing the world and the global warming sensationalism is getting all the press while the real issues are getting ignored.

We will be lucky to survive in our present state long enough to see global warming.

A paper just published in Theoretical and Applied Climatology finds that the data homogenization techniques commonly used to adjust temperature records for moving stations and the urban heat island effect [UHI] can result in a “significant” exaggeration of warming trends in the homogenized record.
The effect of homogenization is clear and quite pronounced. What they found in China is based on how NOAA treats homogenization of the surface temperature record.

Pretending that industrial greenhouse gas emissions are inexplicably innocuous can be a fantasy for the deniers to claim, I suppose.

When you do not allow discussion of the science by the very scientists that disagree with what Cook posts about their work it should raise your curiosity but one thing I have found is that the true believers have no curiosity, only belief in a few men with lab coats and in this case, a clearinghouse for warming alarmists.

 

I fully agree with what you just stated. If you read beyond my original post you will see that I pointed out the same things out. There is no doubt that we as a people have a hand in Terra Forming this planet, at the same time, America is not the only culprit in the issue. We have made strides in waste management, air pollution, recycling and other areas, yet not enough. As an Environmental Engineer, I'm sure you'll agree with me there. America alone cannot solve the issue.

It no longer matters what is causing the climate to change, if it was human influenced....we missed the window to correct it awhile back and are not bright enough to change anyway. If it is natural variation there is nothing we could do to halt it.

Whatever is happening, it will happen....all we little humans can do is try to adapt and hope for the best.

Personally, I almost feel bad for reproducing...my kids are probably gonna get screwed.
