Are you being purposely obtuse? The group being insulted is young people. Stop being evasive and answer the question.

So you think it's okay to negatively stereotype people. Thanks for clearing that up.

And I'm sure that has nothing to do with partisan politics.

Doesn't she have a point? If they weren't knuckleheads they wouldn't have helped put her husband in office in the first place...

"Knucklehead" by it's definition is a silly, goofy, bumbling, inept person.

Today's young people make every effort to present themselves as cool, foolish, crazy, goofy, wacko, fun-loving, free-spirited, cute, mischievous, defiant people, and not burdened or concerned about a stodgy conservative system. America's young people will love Michelle more than ever for referring to them as "knuckleheads." They'll wear the label as a badge of honor. :clapping: :weed:

(If you remember Woodstock, you weren't there!)

No, she doesn't have a point, because it's a baseless generalization. Not every young person voted for Obama, just as not every young person is a knucklehead who dances on top of bars.

I see defenders of Michelle Obama don't want to touch this one. Tacit admission of guilt?

Wisconsin public schools increased their per pupil expenditures from $4,956 per pupil in 1998 to $10,791 per pupil in 2008.

    http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/two-thirds-wisconsin-public-school-8th-g

The state spends twice as much per pupil as the tuition at Messemer and what do they get for results? No wonder the Union goons were protesting the school and Walkers visit.

At the end of the day this is still all about how horrendous Obamacare really is. Weren't many conservatives predicting this very result? That young people would take the first year tax hit than pay outrageous amounts on health insurance they didn't want. What do the liberals that supported this trash legislation have left?

Those protestors were behaving like a bunch of creeps. Wish I had been there to confront them.

They got nothing else, so this where they have to put their faux outrage. This is unbelievably petty and ridiculous.

    Nothing else?

    Assassination lists
    Drone strikes
    NSA spying
    Aiding and abetting drug cartels

Ohhhh, yes, nothing to see here.

Only partisans can be so adamant about their own party's evil, literal evil. Such dangerous people, partisans.

Barak Obama: Don't tell me words don't matter!

Tell it to Michelle, dude--oh, wait. Don't you plagiarized this whole speech straight up and we know liberals don't like any sort of plagiarism.

It's a euphemism for young stupid people. We all know that.

And they need another mamma to tell them this? These young folks don't need full coverage. They only need catastrophic coverage if they end up in a hospital with a serious illness or injury. The chances of this happening are not worth the cost of an ACA policy for people their age.

Yes, when her husband said he bowled like a retard that probably was more offensive to everyone with a special needs child who isn't a Democrat.

Still, words matter and those knuckleheads are the ones acting as her Commander in Chief husband's military fist abroad. Some respect might be in order.

If you're friends with a gay person can you call him "(*)(*)(*)" in good fun?

Because adults never do stupid things.

Personally, I don't care about any names or words. I have to respect someone for their comment to mean something, but when you are a purveyor of the ideology of "words matter", hate crimes legislations for words, and overall political correctness to the point where illegal immigrants have to be called undocumented citizens then you need to (*)(*)(*)(*) with this knucklehead (*)(*)(*)(*).

Or else shut up with all of it--which is preferable to my libertarian spirit.

And you don't understand how politics work. This is her husbands legacy and she knows just how serious this issue is. So she can joke all she wants. Everyone knows behind closed doors she is worried for her husband.

If you're trying to disparage Michelle Obama (and that's ALL you are trying to do) for calling young people 'knuckleheads', you're going to have to dig a little deeper. Calling young people 'knuckleheads' is about as disparaging as Kotter calling his students 'sweathogs'. In other words, they love it. Michael Wilbon signs off his sports talk show "Pardon the Interruption" by saying "Later, knuckleheads". Is he disparaging the entire nation? Because it's out there for the entire nation to watch. C'mon, man, if you're going to get all anti-Obama PC on us, at least get it right.

"Michael Wilbon signs off his sports talk show "Pardon the Interruption" by saying "Later, knuckleheads".

Wilbon is generalizing, why would anyone take offense?

"But once they hit 26 -- they're on their own. And a lot young people think they're invincible. But the truth is, young people are knuckleheads. They're the ones who are cooking for the first time and slice their finger open, they're dancing on the bar stool."

    MO was quite specific.

Thanks to charter school programs, black people will be able to obtain a quality education in this country.

But a lot of black people don't value education. They think they can become rappers and pro athletes.

But the truth is, black people are knuckleheads. You know?

I agree. Because the word retard has been traditionally one filled with malice and disrespect for someone who can't defend themselves.

Sure. Respect is always key. I just didn't think there was any disrespect in using that word.

Have before, and will again. Been called a breeder and other assorted words in response. It comes back to the underlying respect. If I know he respects me and he knows I respect him, then silly names are just ways for us to have fun with each other.

No one ever said they didn't.

True. I personally believe that usage of words isn't cut and dried as black and white, but for a party who says that 'words matter', then that party can be held up as hypocritical for not thinking that this would fall under the same category.

    That would be Canucklehead.

No, and as a young person I don't feel insulted. If others do, then I apologize for minimizing that. I just think that on the grand scale of insults, this is about as far down the list as rapscallion. Then again, it is 2014 and we have new insults like (*)(*)(*)(*)-punter so maybe its just the old-fashionedness of it.

Why? Are you a stupid, bumbling, inept person?

It's an insult that diminishes our intellectual capacity and agency. Sure, it's not the worst thing you can be called, but it's still disrespectful. If the same thing had been said about black people or gays, somehow I doubt people would be this nonchalant about it. I've already provided an equivalent example involving black people which no one has addressed. Is this a tactic admission that I am right?
