People with job skills tend to stay employed in decent jobs. Someone whose only major skill is being able to dress himself probably won't do too well in a capitalist system. Someone that useless would lust after the idea of getting money for doing absolutely nothing, hence his support for socialism.

It is not often that the obsessed understand they are obsessed even though it is quite apparent to those around them. It is also a fact that an individuals judgement is shaded by their own filter which does not always reflect fact, but their own personal bias. There is also a common condition called self confirming bias and you see that in the liberal narrative that liberals tell each other then believe it is fact because they have backed each other up. So with self confirming bias and an obsession with race, they judge things through their race filter then tell each other it must be true. It is quite an interesting obsession and I find it amusing.

I suspect you'd lose that bet. Most of the right wingers here are probably retired or near retirement after a lifetime of working to provide for themselves and their family. Progressives here seem to be comprised of college students, unemployed/unemployable, union workers, etc.

Think of the complaints. With progressives it boils down to "the rich have too much money! We wants it!", while the complaints by conservatives are "I worked for my money, get your hands out of my pocket".

It really doesn't matter what skills you have since the capitalists will import labor to cut wages to what they want to pay for them and if they can't do that, they'll just send the work to India. Deal with reality.

Nobody has imported more cheap labor than progressives and the Democrat Party. Jobs in this country that once sustained a middle class lifestyle are now pennies on the dollar, thanks to a deluge from down South. Your Marxist gripes against capitalism are off course. Maybe you should look past your love of diversity to the real problem.

Shall we mention that illegal aliens now outnumber the unemployment number?

While at the same time THERE IS NO OTHER ECONOMIC SYSTEM which creates near the prosperity for the most people as does capitalism.
I always do. Maybe you should try it, no one wants to go to a more socialist system which decreases prosperity for the most people.

Read this article, you may learn something if you understand what it is saying. http://finance.fortune.cnn.com/2012/04/24/pay-gap-rich-poor/ Whining about a situation improves nothing. Learn a skill, work for it, and it will come. Your complaint that capitalists are trying to hurt you is bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

    Also read this article: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2012/07/12/study-offshoring-creates-as-many-u-s-jobs-as-it-kills/

Like it or not, the US economy does not need very many unskilled laborers to do labor intensive work, and most Americans don't want to do those jobs for what they are worth to the economy. Its not like we were socialist/communist where the government works your butt off and underpays you for it. Learn to think, it pays.

I doubt I would lose that bet. Most rabid pro-team people I have met are losers who blame others for there own problems. This is of course the same no matter which of the two teams you are crazy for.

    Just looking for excuses.

"the rich have too much money! We wants it!" vs "If those scummy liberals didn't do this or that I would have been better off"

Not that both don't say the same thing when they are the ones that want/need the free money.

There really is no different just a crazy belief that there is.

Paul Ryan was privileged, he inherited the farm and estate he lives on. Most inner city have to work for minimum wage in deplorable conditions and environments, it is not a fair judgement.

    Correction.

    Most inner city don't work.

That's why after 3 or 4 generations they are still in the inner city.

    True.

That's why welfare creates lazy people who never learned how to feed themselves.

Bill Press, the smallest intellect on radio, did just this for his first hour yesterday. Ryan was accused of calling blacks genetically inferior at the end of his fantasy. And Press isn't alone. This racist smear can only come from those that think in the racist terms the pretend to abhor.

Correction!!!! If you are educated, intelligent and hard working, NOTHING is stopping you from getting a decent job, except catastrophic illnesses/injuries. Look at nearly everyone on welfare and guess what patterns exist? Low education, low skill, broken families, too many kids, drugs, arrests, questionable working habits, ect. Its not EVERYONE on welfare obviously. Some fell into hard times, but those hard times are all related to bad decision making in their lives, or the previous mentioned injury/illness. Go ahead and deny it and prove your intellectual dishonesty.

You are right in one respect. Capitalism doesn't PROVIDE you with a job. But guess what? Since when is it someone else's responsibility to provide you with ANYTHING? Its YOUR responsibility to provide for yourself. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest that someone with an attitude that they are owed a job, aren't happy with their situation. No one owes you ^$*#*(@. Learn it, love it.

To rise above it all, and break the cycle of poverty and political servitude for themselves and their family, in pursuit of prosperity? No risk = no reward. Play it safe on the sidelines, or jump in the game, what's it gonna be?

Chang the word Liberal to the word Conservative and you would be far more accurate.

Perhaps not....he said “inner city” men who are “not even thinking about working or learning the value and the culture of work” This is , in fact, a thinly veiled racial attack. To be clear, when Mr. Ryan says ‘inner city,’ when he says, ‘culture,’ these are simply code words for what he really means: ‘black.’”

    http://www.salon.com/2014/03/13/pau...o_save_face_why_hes_still_an_overrated_fraud/

And then he tried to squirm out of it

A day after appearing on a conservative radio show and making racially-tinged comments blaming poverty on ‘inner city’ men, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) released a statement on Thursday ‘apologizing’ for his choice of words. Basically, this was the standard non-apology where Ryan stated he was ‘inarticulate’ in getting his initial point across. Below is the full statement: http://www.politicususa.com/2014/03/13/paul-ryan-clumsily-walk-racist-comments-inarticulate.html
