Actually most of us want what religion promises and cannot deliver. Freedom from suffering and death, freedom from stupidity, drudgery, and boredom, and knowing that there is something better, wiser, and more compassionate than humanity somewhere out there.

Atheists who wish to proselytize should give some serious attention to research in areas that will perhaps one day give our species these freedoms and the ability to become better, wiser, and more compassionate beings.

 

Well maybe you are up to the task of explaining how we have free will? Sure we have the appearance of making decisions. But if the end game is known before we are born, how is any of it free will. Unless of course God doesn't know us before we are born or what we will do in our lives.
