I'm starting to feel no one on this site wants to debate. Its all ad-hominen with you guys

    - - - Updated - - -

Ad-hominen forgiven, but America is not a free country.

" Liberty must be taken for liberty to exist" - Know which founding father said this?

What is there to debate? I agree with you and you're still not happy. Now that's strange.

I interpreted the following as an insult....

I want to see you make more than you do now

It felt as if you were attacking me by saying I get paid minimum wage. Suspicious, right?

Why assuming you're making a minimum wage is an insult?

Try working for minimum wage as an adult and maybe you'll understand why its needed.

Why would you assume I make minimum wage?

Its illogical to assume something as random as my income level. What did you base your assumption on? :confusion:

You make a good point. Maybe you're making a minimum wage, or maybe less, I couldn't care less.

Why do you think assuming anyone is making a minimum wage is an insult? Inferior complex syndrome maybe?

No, I do not care that my income was brought up, but why do you keep assuming you know what level its on? Are you trolling me? Is it illogical to assume I make more than minimum wage?

    - - - Updated - - -

Sorry, I think he's trying to either derail the forum or troll me. He keeps saying I make minimum wage with absolutely no evidence to support that claim.

I said I don't know how much you make nor I care.

The question was, however, why assuming anyone who is making minimum wage is an insult? What kind of inferior complex is that?

A wage is a wage. I respect a McDonalds worker who honestly earn a minimum wage than a corrupt banker who is sucking taxpayer money dry.

You started a thread with a full intention of trolling everyone yet you're accusing me trolling you? How cute.

Its not an insult. Its the four statements you made assuming you know my income. Let's review........

I want to see you make more than you do now

^ Here you wrongfully assume that I make minimum wage. Where you drew this conclusion, I do not know.

Why assuming you're making a minimum wage is an insult

^ Here you admit it was an assumption

    Why wouldn't I

^ While you try to justify your assumption oddly here. Yes, why would you assume my income level as a fact?

Maybe you're making a minimum wage, or maybe less

^ But once again, you guess my income level. For some reason I can not make more than minimum wage?

I said I don't know how much you make nor I care.

^ Now you revert and claim you don't know

If you don't know, why the hell are you still assuming I make minimum wage :wall:

As for your supposed "inferiority complex", I have no such thing. I am simply wondering why you don't feel baseless guessing on my income, is not strange

Not sure you're so mad when I make an assumption that you're making minimum wage. Either way, you have my full support of raising minimum wage. I'm always happy to see you or your friends or maybe your family relatives to make more money than they do now.

It would be a temporary reprieve for those in my position (hourly wage under 10.10), and it shouldn't raise prices from large companies that much. I'm not sure how badly this could hurt small businesses.

As I said, feel free to ask me for a report, and I'll gladly supply it

    - - - Updated - - -

Oh, here is a updated CBO report saying that the chances of low job loss and large job loss are extremely complex. It says that the income of all groups (Including the middle class), besides a small percentile will benefit from the increase. It goes on saying that the chances of employment net-increases will rise substantially over time.

I can't copy and paste from a PDF, but the file says that first estimates were wrong by 500,000 (9.00), and there is a 2/3 chance that little to no effect will take at all (10.10). With that said, it concludes by stating the massive increases in jobs outweigh the harms. I still don't agree with the CBO report, but look at these statistics.....

    Cheers

That's not what in this report you just posted.

Likely ranged Very slight decrease to Very slight increase to
    -1.0 million workers

    66% chance in this range

    Exact same report I posted
