Nobody knows what the intent of a criminal is, no one is a mind reader, thus you don't know anyone's intention and besides, what stops a criminal who is there to rob from changing their mind. Using deadly force to intentionally wound someone has severe legal implications and has caused much grief for those who testify as such. Either you use deadly force because you are under imminent threat of death or great bodily harm or you don't have justification to use your deadly force weapon. Actually this is mostly true but there are occasions where shooting at someone would be justified in shooting at a fleeing criminal, one just occurred in California. Nope she would not be charged for pursuing him with a deadly weapon, happens all the time here in the US. She has a right to try and catch the attacker and had she caught up and he turned to attack her she would have been justified in using the appropriate force in return. The criminal is at fault here....our courts recognize that. More emotional baggage, What is firing a gun in public saves the life of an innocent bystander? Cops who hit innocent bystanders face consequences and they have done so, military people have fired at bad people and have hit innocent bystanders and faced consequences, civilians have fired at criminals and hit innocent bystanders and faced consequences. Should soldiers and cops not have guns either? Before you respond with more emotion.....if you intend to bring up the training thingie....please provide proof that there is an epidemic of civilians shooting at bad guys and hitting innocent bystanders.

You should pass a law that requires criminals to submit a paper to their future victim stating whether or not they intend to harm their victims during the commission of their next crime. That would make it so much easier to decide whether or not we should defend ourselves.

I think you are confusing two separate issues. I am more so than most...VASTLY AWARE....how Politician's use FEAR...to drive POLICY. However I own weapons and keep one under my pillow NOT because I am FEARFUL....but because I AM PREPARED!!! I have been unfortunate in that I have been FORCED....to kill men. It is a HORRIBLE FEELING AND A HORRIBLE THING TO DO....and I don't wish it upon anyone. The thing is there exists a certain type of person in this world that you do not either understand nor do you even believe such a person or people could even EXIST!!! I KNOW you think this way because I once thought this way and to be honest TO THIS DAY....I can still not understand or even believe such people like this exist.....BUT THEY DO EXIST!!! There are PEOPLE....PLURAL....out there in the world in LARGE NUMBERS....and they exist within every Nation and exist as a percentage of EVERY COMMUNITY.....that are people who are sadistic, have no remorse....have no regret...and are people who ENJOY KILLING!!! But even worse....it is not just the KILLING such people enjoy the most....they enjoy the FEAR they generate in a person or persons and the ANTICIPATION OF THE KILL...as such a thing in some cases is SEXUAL IN IT'S NATURE. Now....I am a man of extreme training and skill...and so are the members of my Team and I just came back last week from Israel and the Palestinian Territories and I can tell you that groups like Hamas, Fatah, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad....these groups and people are NOT the kind of people I am talking about in this post....as the people I am talking about in the post....the one's that would break into a Families Home and Rape and Torture even a CHILD to DEATH...make member's of Islamic Jihad look like ELMO!!! The thing is these sick and twisted murderous people I am talking about....well...A FEW OF THEM EXIST IN YOUR TOWN RIGHT NOW!!! You might say HELLO to them every morning when you buy a Coffee. You might give them a $3 Tip when they deliver a PIZZA to your home....you might even hire their DAUGHTER to BABYSIT YOUR KIDS!!!! My point is....you NEVER KNOW WHO SUCH PEOPLE ARE UNTIL THEY ARE IN YOUR HOME WITH A GUN TO YOUR BABY'S HEAD!!! I have also seen these kind of people who joined the Military or were members of a Terrorist Group and even TERRORIST GROUPS want no part of such people!!! So...I am NOT talking about how TV, the MEDIA, POLITICIAN'S...or Political Action Groups might use FEAR as a way to get votes to go their way. I am talking about my FEAR....of a VERY REAL THREAT!!! One that a person will NEVER SEE COMING....until they are in your home. And IF or WHEN that happens....I will have a fully loaded Sig. under my pillow and other weapons that I strategically hide and place around my home and I will pull that Sig out from under my pillow....... ......AND I WILL BLOW THESE SICK AND TWISTED MOTHER F@%#$RS HEADS OFF!!!!
