As someone who has entered Mexico many times, I've always been extremely aware of two things: First, as a Gringo, you have a huge target on your back for the local cops. Second, when you're confronted with the cops, the ONLY thing to do is get out your $$$ and be prepared to save all the trouble and pay the fine. As for the bikers, their hearts are in the right place but they're not going to be able to do anything unless and until it's something to hit the Mexican authorities in their wallets. It's not they won't do anything, but they can't do anything. The best thing for this Marine to do is to put trust in his lawyer to get him out of jail through the Mexican Court system.
But where is the fun in that. Hofefully they realize that if they go pointing guns at Mexican Authorities, unlike US Authorities, they will be fired on without much warning. They might want to try a better method.
Do you think that the Marine asked for this demonstration? You may not know that the Marine has been at the mercy of the corrupt Mexican court system for months. Two likely scenarios- 1. Almost nobody shows up when the time comes and it falls apart (and of course is quickly forgotten by its promoters on the Right)...i.e. "American Spring". 2. A bunch of morons get arrested by the Mexican authorities and get thrown in the same prison.

That's really nice, but I'm not sure the Mexican government recognizes the authority of American bikers in this regard.
With all due respect this is absolute bull crap! If anyone in the world would have sway with the Mexican government it would be Master Diplomat Obama and his protégé, John Kerry. Granted, it might mean that Obama might actually have to stop the flow of illegals from south of the border, as leverage with Mexico, but it just goes to show where his priorities have always lain: Not with the Marine but with gutting our border security and our stated national immigration policy as formulated by Congress.
I'm betting on Scenario #1.....12 bikers get to the border, see how few showed up, and turn around and drive back to some Hooters in San Diego and drink beer, whine about Obama (always popular), and if anybody asks say they were "disappointed by the turn-out".....and fade away.
