I thoroughly disagreed with the HL decision, no matter that the court stressed that it was a very narrow decision, as I felt that sooner or later (probably sooner) it would open the doors to different groups who felt their BELIEFS were circumscribed by whatever law(s) they challenged. So, here we are today:

Obviously they don't understand the ruling. Not surprising from a religion too dumb to realize it exists as a reactionary device only.

Well, they do understand that HL "believed" that two types of birth control were abortifacients, despite the medical reality that they weren't. But the Supremes acceded to their beliefs and ruled in their favor. Now come the Satanists with their beliefs (which don't really seem all that bad in this instance):

The group says they have deeply held beliefs about bodily autonomy and scientific accuracy, and those beliefs are violated by state-level “informed consent” laws that rely on misleading information about abortion risks.

Whether or not it's allowed to proceed, any rulings should be an interesting read.

I liked when they mocked the religious law on Statues, but now as a Satanist I feel like the Spirit of our Faith loses meaning if we were to "organize" religiously. The beauty of Satanism is our own, unique connection to Father Satan, and our own individual free-will, no one, not even Father himself wishes to dictate that meaning as long as we Love Him.

MOD EDIT - Rule 3/Reply to Deleted

The SCOTUS does not rule on case details but concepts.

Figures, an attorney. Hey, how's it feel knowing you have the same credibility as a nameless drug dealer selling heroin to minors?

Back OT - if you can't read between the lines, it only affirms to me my utter disgust with state of our justice system. Perception and oblique thinking are important in an attorney, or at least I had assumed.

Your ilk - strutting and (*)(*)(*)(*)ting the party line like pidgeons on a tightrope. Laughable.

Satan is an amalgamation of the various trickster archetypes in ancient Hebrew and NE legends. It does not exist. Any philosophy sprung from satanism is just the anti or reactionary response to Judeo Christian beliefs, that's like worshipping or devoting a club to the philosophy of Dr Robotnic on Sonic. It's a sore loser religion which is just, well, pretty pathetic. Funny though.

I think you may be missing the general idea. HL's ruling is not the impetus of this statement from the Satanic Temple...it is the idea that "religious" beliefs can trump federal regulations. That indeed was the basis of the ruling by the Supreme court in the
    Hobby Lobby ruling.

The Satanic Temple argument is clumsy but more cases will arise with more refined arguments.

The "The Satanic Temple" has every right to sue. Let them and see where it goes.

What's my religion? I suppose being an attorney gives you the ability to ascertain religious belief from a forum post. I hadn't realized this! Where do I sign up?

Anyway, it's clear you're simply vomiting agitprop spin nonsense. Go back to your hole and stop spreading nonsense. It's unbecoming.

The concept should have been, that the owners or management are not required to use any product in our secular markets, themselves, through recourse to abstinence and just saying "no".

There is no reason for wealthy Capitalists to deny and disparage Labor from representation regarding their earned compensation; unless, of course, the Judicature wants to establish a precedent and subsequent moral of, those with the most "gold" can make the most "rules" for others without any delegated authority to do so under our form of Capitalism regardless of the Socialism of our republican form of Government.

Yes, that was what I posted. They ruled that the concept of religious belief could be used to trump logic, common sense and science, whether or not you shared those beliefs. Thus the suit by the Satanists because their religious sensibilities have been offended.

You could say the same thing about Christians' or Muslims' beliefs in an all powerful, creator-of-the-universe God.

Incorrect. the medical reality is that they are not always abortifacants, but they can be.
