Actually, Assad and Obama have come to a reluctant partnership with regard to bombing ISIL inside Syria.

Ibn Abd al-Wahhab premise of this new, narrow ideology was to reject traditional scholars, scholarship and practices under the guise of "reviving the true tenets of Islam" and protecting the concept of monotheism.

Ibn Abd al-Wahhab's brand of "purification" of Islam consisted of prohibiting many traditionally accepted acts of worship, reverence of the person of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and the pious saints, and burning books containing traditional prayers, interpretations of law and commentaries on the Qur'an and Hadith.

He encouraged his followers to interpret the holy books for themselves and to act on their interpretations in light of their own understanding, regardless of their understanding of fundamental principles or lack thereof.

Anyone who did not profess to this new ideology was considered outside of the realm of Islam - an apostate, disbeliever or idolater, thus making the shedding of their blood and confiscation of their wealth permitted. In this way, he was able to secure a significant following whose legacy continues in one form or another.

Simply put the birth of Wahhabi was a radical extreme faction.

After 25 years as a full time political reporter I DO trust politicians, at least the ones I know.

For instance, I trust that in any situation Obama will spin it to be about him. Congress didn't bring in Obamacare, he did and he personally "rescued a fainting woman to boot!

I trust the Republicans to fight more amongst themselves than the democrats. I trust my federal Member of Parliament will be as self serving as Obama with an absence of moral direction. I trust my provincial Member of the Legislature to make everything about him and the fact he was once the only handicapped mayor in north America, mayor of Vancouver in fact...and I trust him to say one thing and do the opposite.

I trust Stephen Harper to be the American's bag boy, and I did indeed trust the last finance minister Jim Flarrity to keep this country financially sound as he did. I trust the NDP will not change and continue to push for outdated social concepts. And I trust my Liberal Party of Canada to steel ideas from the other two.

Trust is what you know. You cannot be betrayed if you know your "friend" can only be trusted to betray.

What I don't trust in politicians is when they have their backs to the wall, know the game is lost and are besieged by every one and every thing....they turn into vicious rats who will eat their young....

    Really?

Wait...you are the same Margot that claimed the terrorists in Banghazi were actually trying to save Ambassador Stephens.......

Yeah. I believe you all the way when you talk about what's going on in Syria, clearly you are a close confidant of Assad.

Frankly my dear, after several years of dealing with you, I am absolutely certain that if you are posting it, it's a fabrication based on a myth compounded by a serial obsession to make stuff up.

The correct (and more gracious) response would have been, "Thank you".

    I get it, friend dujac.
    More than you suspect.

But alas, my time here on the internet is a matter of whimsy and caprice, and is limited only by the requirements of my work, and this pesky business of paying the bills.

I have no need or desire to convert AIPACers. Just Americans. I don't suppose you are one, are you? An American that is.

    In your opinion, yes.

    We disagree, that is all.

There is the right, the logical, the scientifically-valid, the artistically and aesthetically-pleasant, the entertaining….

and then there is YOUR world view.

I'm comfortable with my position, sir.

Yes, some Libyans rushed the Ambassador to Benghazi hospital.

Assad and Obama have come to an agreement about bombing ISIL in Syria.. It was negotiated by Putin..

    Oh, for God's sake.

What a Police State this web forum has become.

The left-and-right limits, and the fields of fire, are unbelievably narrow.

One can wish the very worst things for public figures and political candidates, (and articulate them in clinical detail, gory as they may be), and nothing is said or done here.

But if I wish to educate a naive, stumbling, nervous, trembling child like dujac on the ways of the world, then my postings are instantly deleted.

    This is BULLL SHHIITT.

    I protests, publicly.

Forgive my ironic and purposeful deviations from the rules of grammar, by the way.
I have a humorous whimsy about me this evening.

Only to the sentient...to the left more info is needed...Fantasy is what liberalism is all about, that and bribes. Liberals (those who think about it) live in a world of unicorns and imaginary economics. A place where the free lunch IS free...A political Disneyland...where things that are not and cannot be run free...

If most Americans are pro ISIS plan and anti Obama, means in both ways most Americans have taken a political position.

In a war soldiers take positions, positions to defend or to attack.

Politics is a war, that most people don't recognize as a war, but as democracy/talk, and problem solver.

But a pro ISIS and anti Obama position shows that politics is more like a military facility to create political soldiers that continue to fight (because most American took a political stance)

For over a century people vote and politically fight, without any end in sight.

Even for more than a century there are more problems than ever before.

After more than a century of problems solving all problems in the world would have been gone by now.

it doesn't have to be, politicians can and have cooperated

but, as of late, the gop is off on a looney campaign that makes no sense

of course they failed, but now they're doubling down on looney fake-scandal mongering
