    Hey Bernie!

You better be careful of what you wish for.

You do realize that this Election Holiday Bill will give all those hardworking taxpaying Americans who are sick and tire of government waste, fraud, corruption, taxes and regulations the ability to show up at the polls and vote against your extreme left-wing crap.

In other words, the people who don't work and therefore don't need this Holiday to get to the polls are the ones that already vote for your extreme left-wing crap.

So Bernie, this bill is counterintuitive to your cause.

Because of Low Turnout, Sanders Filing Bill to Make Election Day a National Holiday

I would support that idea. Bernie Sanders is not an establishment democrat. He is a living unicorn. You won't see another like him again in your life.

I don't want people voting that refuse to make the effort or to take the time to understand the issues / candidates.

I would prefer a well researched Liberal voting over a non-researched conservative.

Why not? Certainly it is more relevant than many current federal holidays. I mean, who really celebrates President's Day, the old Lincoln and Washington birthdays? Who celebrates Columbus day, other than folks loosely associated with Italian American heritage?

Well a lot of people already do take election day as a holiday, so no need to really declare it, unless it could become a paid vacation day, with everyone receiving median income for the day (about $150 should do it) when presenting registration card, ID, fingerprint, and passing retina scan, and DNA test.

    I found this at Dictionary.com

    oxymoron
    [ok-si-mawr-on]
    noun

    1. a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly" or "well researched liberal".

I don't see how anyone can object to this unless they openly object to democracy.

There is not even one representative in the GOP that is fit to wipe Senator Sander's butt. His filibuster a few years back was what a genuine filibuster is supposed to be about. Anyone posting here and bashing the Senator most likely has no idea of his voting record and integrity on the issues. You would not recognize a Statesman if you fell over one. What kind of
(*)(*)(*)(*)ed up planet is this, where the average person has scorn for a man that fights for the rights of the average guy while they support a group of reps that are telling you if you don't have bread, eat cake...as they greedily enrich themselves and the elite.

I dont see what the two different points have to do with each other unless you think we do not live in a democracy unless this passes...

They'll make voting mandatory on the holiday. (Otherwise, why have a holiday?)

I'd rather have mandatory voting, than a 30 day national holiday.
    Both have their drawbacks.
