    Please explain to me why you think he was so important? DC was and still is a poophole.

    Your lack of detail and reliance on generic terminology really does nothing to inform one of your reasoning. I could call Pee Wee Herman a great leader but that does not make it so. About the only thing I have seen mentioned under than his arrest in articles is "he gave a lot of people jobs" but that could just as easily be an hallmark of corruption/nepotism. I really do not see that he did much of anything for DC other than perpetuate the victim mentality. Worst school system in the country despite having the most money per capita in the country for it. Complete mismanagement of the city's finances. About the only improvements in the city in over a generation have come through gentrification which has nothing to do with local government.
