Peace is not in the vocabulary of the leadership of either of those countries. They ar both led by warmongers.
For peace to occur I think both sides must stop getting involved in each other business. Israel needs to allow Iran pursue its nuclear ambitions. Iran needs to stop getting involved in the Palestinian/Israel conflict. Iranian leaders rhetoric is angering Israel and creating tensions. It would also need to stop supplying arms to groups like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Israel and Iran are sovereign entities that should be capable of dealing in a sensible, adult manner without dragging others into their squabbles and expecting them to cover the tab. After the State of Israel and the State of Palestine have summoned the courage to recognize and respect one another's sovereignty and have knocked of the perpetual mutual finger-pointing and kvetching, further regional progress would likely ensue
Isreal is one of the most racist and discriminatory governments on the face of the earth for gods sake gay people get treated better in Iran then they do in Isreal. If your in favor of the government that got us involved in the middle east then go ahead and support isreal
There should be peace, but Iran has to stop threatening to wipe out Israel. How can any country constantly live under that threat without worrying a war is right around the corner?
The problem here is IPC (Islamic Politically Correct) speech. "Peace" in IPC means complete unconditional universal submission to Sharia.
No it doesn't. Peace does not involve submission to the Sharia. In this case it means two countries minding their own business.
interesting, a few days ago you said if Iran doesn't recognize Israel, kill all of its leaders, and open their oil industry to the USA, they should be destroyed. change of heart?
And with Israel/Iran it may be none. I've seen cases where neither nation was saying that much to the other and then suddenly the US got involved again, usually saying Iran may have a bomb in 5 years (I think that started 15 years ago.) Naturally enough Iran said they weren't making a bomb and didn't want one but nobody was about to stop them and then Israel would say the Iranians were about to kill them and so they must kill the Iranians. Meanwhile many US conservatives would say the only way to avoid war in the region was to start one. I wish I could say that good time was had by all but it seems that all sides are finally getting tired of being used to keep their own conservatives happy.
As much as I would like peace, it will never happen. Iran does not even recognize Israel as a state, and even if they did the odds are not likely. I am afraid that I will stick with what the Bible says that there will not be peace until the end of days....God bless Israel.
