Don't attack us and attempt to destroy our country and you have nothing to fear.

Powers with wide nuclear arsenals have to manage them with rationality: if Italy suffered a nuclear attack by Russia, it doesn't mind if it's about only one ICBM or 100 ICBMs, NATO defense would retaliate on the base of the persuasion that potentially Russia could use its entire nuclear arsenal in a war, so that all the strategic targets would be hit ... this would mean a hundred of ICBMs launched as retaliation ...

This is why Communist leaders pondered very well any act which was possible to be interpreted as hostile towards us.

But, if a power can launch less than a dozen of nuclear warheads ... a total retaliation would not be justified. The strategic counter attack would be limited [remember we are democracies and democracies today are sensitive about "disproportion" in the usage of force] and the leaders of that power could even survive ...

This could add a kind of "Human Survival Hope Factor" [HSHF] to the natural attitude of religious individuals to believe to be on the right side [not fearing sacrifice ...]. This could be a tremendous mix which could bring a theocracy to use its few nukes against an enemy.

This is why I don't trust Teheran with nukes.

I provided you with plenty of information so you could verify what I posted, but if you don;t want to be educated about history, that's your choice.

But the fact remains that almost anyone can get anyone else to attack them by utilising techniques of provocation - and then shout "we're innocent" and retaliate - thus starting the war they wanted and maintaining the image of the injured party. Hitler, amongst others, was a master of this.

If you actually read history rather than simper over your treasured version of events you might even manage to add the word "education" to your vitae.

Here's a clue of how you do it. First you learn the alphabet and then you learn to read. Start with small words first.

On the US cracking the Purple Code see HERE.

On the War & Peace Studies project see Minter & Shoup's Imperial Brain Trust. But you'll need to go slowly. The book has some long words and difficult to grasp concepts - like facts, corroboration, and actual history. It might prove an interesting alternative to the Disney channel.

But if you find it too difficult, then I think one option would be that you wrap a wet facecloth over your forehead, take a break and spend some time HERE. They offer a splendid range of bananas for consumption.

Yes, of course they attacked first. Unlike you I don't deny inconvenient facts. And the Japanese are rightly blamed for that and for the cruelty they exhibited throughout the war. My post is not an apology for them.

But two things: One) they were various US provocations that led them to reach this decision, even though several senior officers saw it as sheer madness that was bound to result in their defeat, and Two) Eisenhower allowed the attack on Pearl Harbour to happen because he wanted a war Congress wouldn't allow him to have.

Assuming you can read and know how to absorb the meaning of words, then I direct your attention to my first post No. 24 on page 3, where I stated that "Yes, the US was attacked by Japan."

Maybe you can roll that around your mouth a few times and then swallow it and just let it circulate and penetrate.

I realize it will be tough, but treat it as an intellectual challenge.

Look, I'm willing to be flexible here. Really, I am.

But I will firstly need a letter from your Mom saying that's she's given your permission to be here instead of at school, okay.

And then we can start out with the comprehension lessons. You know, where (firstly) simple information is read, absorbed and understood. From your responses thus far I feel that would be the best place to start. And if progress is made we can move on to medium complex words and ideas.

So you refuse to cede facts and chose to insult. I have destroyed your conspiracy theory in under three remedial questions. The factual answer you refused to cede was no.

I've seen this before and always found it particularly interesting among conspiracy theories in that the person pushing it actually seems to support the conspiracy and actions taken, and the atomic bombings to boot.

Also I don't recall the "eight provocations" entirely, but I don't believe any of them was setting off a bomb in Tokyo or something and they were more like not selling Japan iron for its war machine. What I mean is that they aren't the sort of things to remotely justify Japans actions.
