Two links on this thread. The topic is California's drought that we can say is the liberals fault.

Instead of building reservoirs, aqueducts or rebuilding our roads, highways, bridges the left has an infatuation with trains, be it urban rail or a 100 BILLION DOLLAR Super rail train to no where. They also have a hardon for a little fish. Liberals keep raising taxes to pay for supporting illegal aliens and paying the outrageous wages and retirement pension funds for union public service employees.

Noticed the date of the first article, February 6, 2014

For your argument to be valid you will need to prove that only liberals supported the rail system.

I do know some Republicans who were duped and voted for it, but not many. But today I don't know of one Republican or conservative independent who supports Browns boondoggle.

This whole rapid rail and urban rail transit thing is a progressive liberal thing, just not in California but all across America.

What I left out on my opening thread was, why does Gov. Brown still has the welcome mat out at the California / Mexican border and calling for millions of more illegal aliens to unlawfully to live in California while using executive order and threatening $500 fines for taking a shower for more than five minutes ?

And your perspective is what... all encompassing? The population of California is nearing 39 million, of which you personally know how many? And who gets to decide if a republican was duped? You? Me? Someone else... and by what authority? Please don't tell me that what constitutes a republican being "duped" is someone not agreeing with you...

threatening $500 fines for taking a shower for more than five minutes ?

You know this to be untrue
I could understand someone being mistaken
    Or misunderstanding
    Or even beng brainwashed

But i have previously asked you for the quote
And you know there is none
So you are now openly lying
Which makes it impossible to take you swriously

You could of course now take my pants down by supplying the quote
But we both know you cannot do that
We both know you are a liar
Any one who cares can follow the resulting conversation and do their own research
    Most people will not care
Either because such lying is considered acceptable
Or because they know it is so commonplace as to be unremarkable

It just wasn't Republicans who were duped, everyone was duped.

I think you are making a good argument, but where we disagree is where you place all blame on liberals. IMO your bias hurts what is otherwise a great argument as hindsight being 20/20 perhaps irrigation, canals, dams and conservation should have been the focus.

Wrong. The idea that if just one non-liberal supported the rail system then all non-liberals lose the right to criticize the rail system is ridiculous. By that logic, no liberal can criticize Reagan, or either Bush, or the Iraq War, or tax cuts, or gun rights, etc., because some liberals supported all those items.

And California is run by the socialists, they have total control, and have for a long time. The failures are their fault and there is no way to tap dance around it.

Well the Democrats have continuously controlled the California state legislature since 1970. The unions control the Democrats legislatures. The tree huggers in San Francisco are very powerful politically in California.

The one I like was when the liberals in San Francisco forced everyone to install PC toilets aka low flush toilets. Then one day everyone noticed a crappy smell in the air.

It takes a lot of water to get all of that poop from your crapper to the sewage treatment plant and then out to sea. PC toilets aren't up to the job.

I suppose there just aren't that many liberal plumbers who could have warned San Francisco libs what to expect by going politically correct when it comes to taking a dump.

    When you wrote this

you essentially declared that conservatives could protest and criticize only if "only liberals supported the rail system". In other words, if one conservative supported the rail system, all conservatives lost their voice.

"In other words" = fill in the blank with your own assumption then erroneously attempt to apply it to me.

Accusing us liberals of invoking disaster is a common foil of the monarchist. Nevertheless, we will continue campaigning for republican forms of government wherever we can and whenever we must.

Your previous posts were very clear. If you did not mean to imply what I and others have interpreted them to mean, then just say so.

Imply = assumption. How do you know what "others" think? Can you read their minds? If what I posted was "very clear" then why the need to read into what I said and label it "imply"?

For one thing it was Liberals and Environmentalist that cut off water to farms:

"California’s San Joaquin Valley is the salad bowl of the world, providing the majority of fruits and vegetables for the entire nation. But, with another man-made drought looming, the San Joaquin Valley is in danger of becoming a dust bowl unless immediate action is taken to change policies that put the needs of fish above the livelihood of people" taken from http://naturalresources.house.gov/issues/issue/?IssueID=5921

This was big news until a bigger news story came along. The issue took a back seat and the problem still exists. There is a ton of info regarding this, google it.

When the welfare of the majority of the population and the economics of the Country will suffer; one needs to question the far left and radical environmentalists social policies. Is the left really concerned about the welfare of the people including those who they claim to care so much about, like the starving children and the poor who can't buy the vegetables food products that are healthier because prices have skyrocketed and a fish was more important? Republicans were on the opposite side the side for providing water to farmers. Even most Congressmen and Senators from California(other than those elected by the people in the effective area of the State) were for saving the fish.

I really don't believe the liberals are for the "people", the poor and middle class based on the many laws they pass that have negative effects, economically on the poor and middle class.

This is very simple. You wrote something, the message others took from it was very clear. If you misstated your position, or we misinterpreted it, then clarify your position. You are not making your position any better by making a sophomoric argument about "reading minds". I'm not wasting any more time on this, you should not either. Get on with it.

how about not allowing all the illegals to move there, as well as not having kids that you can't afford to raise (properly) without mooching off of other people to pay for their education (or welfare or imprisonment when you fail as a parent)? this is the case for about 90% of parents, especially in California. if you'd kept your population where it was in the 50s, there'd be little or no problem with water.

You have to build the dams before the liberal caused droughts.

One of the local news station called this drought the largest in California's history. :roflol:

California has had droughts, some lasting 25 years over the centuries. Back then the only ones who suffered were the cattle and the farmers but all still could take a bath every Friday.

I also noticed how they are cooking the numbers on how many gallons of water it takes to grow each crop. They are including water used to process the crops including transportation from the farms to the processor or canning facility to the shelves of the markets.

Nobody wants to admit that the problem is that there are almost 40 million people residing in California today, about 30 million to many. Jerry Brown still has the welcome mat at the California - Mexico border telling Latin America losers to come to California, we'll educate your kids, give you free stuff, give you food stamps give you drivers license and even a jail cell to sleep it off on Saturday night.

Tell me how "liberals" reduced the amount of snow

Tell me how "liberals" reduced the rainfall

    http://m.livescience.com/50013-california-drought-climate-change.html
No it is all 'liberals' fault

What - does the republican party recruit only from the low brain cell hard of thinking group that they cannot see that a warming world will cause disruption to agriculture?

So now it is the fact that only liberals smoke pot - yeah suuuuuuuure!

Mate - the first thing that should be happening is monitoring of water usage - high usage = checking out why = discovery of illegal pot crop
