Seriously. Kasich, Bush, Rubio, Graham, Paul and even that economic liberal Huckabee are all moderate heroes. On the Dem side they have Uber True Leftist Sanders, that ghastly antiwar True Leftist Webb and O'Malley. Then there is a serious draft Warren movement as well.

Oh, and there odds are still 22.7% of Hillary declining to run. Plus she's below 70 in the latest poll (a sure sign the she cannot win the nominarion).

Bush, Rubio, Paul, and Huckabee are moderates? Erm, no.

Not sure to be honest. I could see a guy like Huckabee winning people who, for example, identify with Eastern Ukraine more than Western Ukraine, I think this makes him unique amongst the moderate republicans.

What is a True Leftist? Is it some kind of Socialist? I think I can figure out what a moderate hero is.

Huckabee a moderate, Mr "State's Rights mean we can override the SC on Gay Marriage" Huckabee a moderate?

And I don't care what Hillary's numbers are. Democrats, unlike Republicans, don't let ideology override political reality and want to win rather than make a "statement". Hillary will be the Democratic candidate and will win.

That's an interesting theory. Of course, the True Leftists and Moderate Heroes from both parties are equally competing for the moocher vote. Thanks to voter ID laws passed by Great Scott in Florida and Walker in Wisconsin, surely those moochers won't be a problem in the near future.

I don't know, think a moderate hero is someone who's moderate for the sake of being moderate. And leftists always like to accuse each other of impurity.

Sanders has announced he is not running, especially not as a Democrat. Warren has said at least a billion times that she will not be running in 2016. Jim Webb is a strong lefty on foreign policy and economics, but is against amnesty, gun control, extensive environmental regulation, and affirmative action. Anybody who knows Webb understands that he is a moderate liberal, not a far-lefty like you are trying to make him out to be.

On the GOP side we have Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Ben Carson, Rick Perry. All considerably far-right candidates. Also Rubio is not really all that "moderate" either. And I would know, I am one. The only two candidates from the GOP side that I can say are somewhat moderate with a straight face would be Rand Paul and Jeb Bush. And Rand Paul is pushing that these days...

In fact, I'd almost say we have the opposite situation. Too many far-right nutters from the GOP side and nobody from the Dem side that significantly satisfies the party fringe.

Hillary is announcing her candidacy this weekend.

I think Bush could be considered somewhat moderate. Paul too, if you catch him addressing a non-evangelical/Tea Party crowd. I agree on Rubio and Huckabee though...the thought of them being "moderate" is laughable.

Huh? As far as I know, Sanders has said that he's thinking about running. And that if he does, while he'd like to stay an Independent, he might run as a Democrat just to get into the primary debates.

Ok, I was mistaken. Perhaps I confused Sanders remarks with Warren's sharp "no." But he is definitely only on the fence, and barring that it's pretty silly to assume that he is running as a Democrat given that he is an Independent who has expressed strong disapproval of Democratic leadership and the party in general.

Moderate Heros and True Leftists alike must read Atlas Shrugged, a damning indictment of how much the world cares about this walkover to come.

Look for Democrats to throw a fit if an indie True Leftist like Sanders runs and takes away votes from Hillary.

If anything Sanders should run with the Democrats just to try and change the conversation. Then he should drop out.

No, there's too few True Leftists actually. Until I hear a candidate make the case for dialectical materialism, I'm sticking with Linc.
