All of which could be avoided if she didn't drive drunk OR resist arrest. Points for you trying to get a Hillary jab on an issue that has NOTHING to do with her though.

 

Excellent post Hummingbird, that is all I am saying also. This cop could have easily arrested her without slamming her face first into the concrete. Had she been the Mayor's wife she wouldn't have been handled in that manner.

Go back and re-read my post.....I said 'SOMEONE LIKE" Hillary, using her as a reference to power to get a cop fired b/c of the way she was arrested and handled.......and that stuff DOES happen, whether you'll admit it or not.....

Yrs ago we had an alcoholic judge sitting on the bench. He'd be stopped for driving drunk and quietly escorted home by a disgusted cop. This went on for a long time. He was issuing orders for other DUI's; jail and/or rehab and he certainly needed it for himself ....I was working at an alcohol treatment center and had dozens of court-ordered documents from this judge to rehab these people, which of course they needed, but he should have been the 1st one in line.

it was the hypocrisy of this judge that had people in this small community outraged and finally he gave up the job. He should have been forced out yrs b/f.... but he was in a position where he called the shots and that's the way it goes......

If you have the name and the power behind it, then life is sweet for them, but not for Joe and Jane Citizen who's drunk.....and that's life.

I know a cop who arrested a Secret Service agent for DUI a few days before Obama was visiting a town near mine. He did his overnight in jail and was on the next plane out of town.

But making statements like "she could have easily stayed sober" is a statement of pure ignorance and arrogance given the fact that you do not know this person or why she got drunk in the fiest place.

This islike holding Sarah Palin accountable as a mom for not allowing her daughter to get pregnant. She has thus failed as a mother and a parent.

Actually, he is right. Members of the military and law enforcement in general are moderate or have mixed political stances. However, for most most members and former members of the military and law enforcement rarely express their political views online, in the media, or to other person. They will however, express their opinions on certain topics based on their experiences.

Does it matter WHY she got drunk and put her 6 yr old child in jeopardy? Unless somebody held her down and poured it down her throat, she's 100% responsible for her impaired condition. Had she not been impaired, chances are good we wouldn't be having this discussion. Can you at least agree to that?

Your analogy is silly. If Sarah Palin got drunk and disorderly and was taken down hard by a cop, I'd be the first to admit she deserved it. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen, though.

I said she should have obeyed the law. You seemed to think we don't need to obey the law. Maybe you can elaborate on that argument before we move on to my religious beliefs.

 

Who said anything about her not obeying the law, the topic is the officer didn't need to slam her face first into the pavement. Nobody said she shouldn't have gotten arrested and booked.
