Oh look, it appears your are OFFENDED. another Con that is of the attitude "Do what I say, not as I do". Instead you want to FORCE a woman to be prisoner to her own body. If you don't like abortions, don't have one yourself. Remember, stop being offended.

 

When the couple can go to the local drug store and find a dozen way not to get pregnant one doesnt "force" a woman to get pregnant.

 

Two things, one contraceptive is not 100% effective and number two It's none of your business so stop being offended. Typical hypocritical con, tells other people to not be offended but gets their panties in a bunch over abortion.

Yeah because cons have NEVER tried to do a constitutional amendment prohibiting SSM and NEVER censor T.V. using the government and NEVER supported sodomy laws until they were found unconstitutional. Oh wait, they did.

Wrong, Republican are not conservatives, they are liberals. Libertarian's are conservatives. Both Democrats and Republicans support using government to steal the liberty of citizens.

If Republicans were liberals they wouldn't fight so hard against SSM. Fact is MANY Republicans ARE in fact conservative.

 

You do not understand what a true conservative is. It is liberals who do not respect sovereignty of the individual. Republicans are liberals just as Democrats are. Libertarians are conservative because they recognize the limits on government. SSM is a non issue to a conservative because they know the government has no power under the Constitution to regulate human relationships in any way shape or form. Only the liberal Republicans and Democrats want to give government powers not granted them in the Constitution to rule over the lives of the Citizens.

I visit this message board just to share opinions and to read others opinions. There are some posters here who are wise, enlightened and have the ability to get their points across in an intelligible way. Those are the ones I come here to interact with. So far, I've seen nothing you've contributed that includes you in that group. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your intent seems to be only to derail discussions.

This might come as a surprise to you, but after I check my little notification box at the top and respond to messages, no thought of you stays with me. I close my laptop and you don't cross my mind at all until I see another notification.

That's what is meant by "being offended" just being a choice.

Again, your concern is properly directed towards PF staff. Moreover, I'd say your determination to instead belabor the issue here indicates you're guilty of the very thing you accuse me of.

On the contrary, that is just the sort of claim I would expect from someone like you, regardless of its truth value.

 

I like how you present the example to only illustrate those that are against your beliefs as the whiners, apparently completely oblivious about the equal amount of whining, biching, and mewling from the other (your) side.

 

Fostering an environment where people (especially younger ones) don't know what they NEED to know, to AVOID UNWANTED PREGNANCIES is both wrong and offensive. (Think abstinence-only vs. comprehensive sex education.)

People NOT being realistic is destructive to society and offensive. We're dealing with human beings here in this world... not 'angels' and/or lower animals.

What you describe is dire. The more we work to diligently avoid unwanted pregnancies... the better things will be period. Even so, the choice must be left to the 'female' carrying the unborn, her medical situation (doctors) and her 'God' is that person happens to be a believer.

We could go ON AND ON about the morality of "abortion" and MANY other things; it is endless. In the end, what we are demanding morally as 'individuals' and what is better for a society of human beings is not necessarily or always the same.

I mean, what SIN or fault carries more weight with your/my "god"?

Greed/Avarice
Lying
Unwarranted War/Murder
Racism (Slavery)
Hatred (of people and things they cannot change, like being unattractive, gay, fat...etc.)
Divorce (a MASSIVE problem that 'millions' are afforded tremendous 'grace' concerning the same)
Hypocrisy... (and the list could go on)

Do we really know? Some people's religious views can even disagree with that.

Even so, we can only go so far in legislating morality. But as far as being offended by what others may say/do, we CAN adopt and adhere more closely to behaviors which promote more civil discourse AND always keep in mind that we are ALL human beings living together on one planet.

This, "My way, or the highway." BS, that we so often like to project, just isn't going to work in a world where billions of people are living.

Live and let live ought to be the most important rule for us all to live by.
